Ptolemaios Class Submarine
About this creation
The Ptolemaios is the latest and greatest of The states wartime equipment. It is equipped with 10 24-inch torpedo tubes and 16 Artemis Missile Launchers. while on the surface it has the ability to deploy 6 CIWS guns to defend itself from incoming missiles and slow moving aircraft. 1 of its most innovative features is the addition of small engines on the main wings and rudder to increase both speed and maneuverability. This is important because the ship is twice the length of a Nimitz class aircraft carrier and just as wide as one. The wing engines greatly increase its rate of decent and assent, this is very important to this ship for Reasons that will be addressed later.
Offensive Weaponry:
Mark 92 Electrolysis Torpedo:
Range: 4 Miles
The Mark 92 is the peak of torpedo technology. The torpedo is in fact a giant energized battery capable of releasing all of its electricity in a matter of milliseconds. When it does this it turns all of the water withing a 200 yard radius into hydrogen and oxygen(Electrolysis). Almost immediately the small warhead in the torpedo detonates creating a massive Hydrogen Explosion capable of decimating warships if the torpedo was anywhere within a 60 yards of the warships center.

Artemis Long Range Ballistic Missile:
Range 5500 Miles
The Artemis is the atmospheric variant of the Osiris missile carried aboard Vincent Class Orbital Battleships. It can be equipped with either a HE or FAE warhead each capable of massive damage to the target area.

Now the reason for the Ptolemaios' massive size is its final secret. The true mission of the Ptolemaios is to covertly deliver M19s and M11s Arms Suits(AS), as well as Nightmare Gunships into combat zones without anyone knowing the wiser until it surfaces to launch these craft with its Twin Linear Catapults. The ship itself can carry 4 Squads of 7 ASs, as well as 50 Nightmares. This capability gives the State a powerful presence anywhere it decides one of these massive ships is needed. This also explains the need for the 6 CIWS guns

Stealthy or not, I like the idea of being able to enter a war-zone undetected, and launch fighters and transports. These will be very useful.

Hey Garret, would you mind e-mailing me the files to some of your starships? I believe you already have my address, but it's talheid@mac.com.

I agree with my friend Matthew you dont need "Wings" on a submarine it will in reality offer nothing but lagging performance and stealth.

Well that post was meant as a joke. And yes they would create a lot of drag but also submarine are detected by sonar which is countered by a material on the outside of the sub that dampens the initial ping. using this technology you can technically have do anything with a submarine from being the size of a city to as small as a human. While it would make it more visible to the eye you are correct but in the depths of the ocean it is pitch black therefore rendering your eyes useless

Tyro, part of my job is deciding what tech is and is not allowed. And well, for starters, submarines don't have wings, they are called hydrodynamic control fins. Not to mention stealth airplanes and stealth subs are detected entirely differently. Those wings are extremely large compared to real subs, which don't even have wings like that in the first place. they would cause a huge amount of drag, slowing down the sub and making it easier to see at the same time. So the argument airplanes have wings so subs can have wings is therefore invalid.

Quoting Matthew McCall If it isn't stealthy, it will be detected. Not to mention, stealth doens't mean invisible, it means harder to see.
I have an argument on your entire "wings ruin stealth idea" what about the F22 Raptor and the F35 Lightning II there wings may not be gigantic but they are considered stealth fighters there for wings don't exactly ruin stealth

While a excellent build, I think giant "wings" like that ruin stealth. Also, it would probably be horrendously vulnerable when surfaced. Anyway, the torpedos are a awesome idea, and great work. :)
