About this creation

Mirkwood. Late in the 2nd Age.
An elvish captain, Macileryl, waits patiently outside the bedroom of his king, Thranduil of Mirkwood, who has had a son.

He enters, and sees a fine elfling that any father would be proud of, and Thranduil certainly is.

Patiently, he reminds Thranduil of the reason he came.

The elf messenger dashes through the forest, not far from Thranduil’s hall.

Spreading the word of the birth of a new heir to the throne of Mirkwood.

High in the trees in a light flet, another baby has just been born, to Thranduil’s cousin, Eraisuithon, and his wife, Findemaxa.

The family rests, happy, as night falls.

Years later……

Young Suiauthon is growing up.

Bow in hand, he climbs down the ladder out of the flet to join his friend, Legolas, and his mentor, Macileryl.

They head into the deep forest.

The two elvish boys follow their mentor deep into the darkness of Mirkwood.

At last they stop.

They sit, meditating, concentrating on the life around them.

At first, they sit, quietly, eyes wide open.

But then, Suiauthon closes his eyes, taking in the sound and feel of nature. Trees…. Animals….. Elves…… Elves….. Four elves….. Wait!

Suiauthons eyes sprang open.
Before them stood a small figure clad in black robes, holding a bow.
They sat in utter silence, staring into each other’s faces.

Suddenly, the figure turned and disappeared into the trees.

They sat in silence.

They sat, quietly, pondering his words.

Macileryl sprang up, with a look on his face as if he remembered some evil and sorrowful memory.

They walked away, going back toward the settled areas.

As they left, by some intuitive nature, Suiauthon turned.

A small, sorrowful face watched.

Carefully, Suiauthon raised his hand in greeting, and in blessing, the sign of Elbereth.

With a slight smile, the small, shadowy elf boy returned his greeting.

Hundreds of years later…..

Suiauthon and Legolas grew, companions in everything, hunting and scouting all around Mirkwood.

In a different region of Mirkwood…..

The Elf Amrod serves as a scout in his village on the east of Mirkwood.

He fills with pride at such an important assignment.

Message tucked safely in his tunic, he rushes off.

Several days later, he moves swiftly through the dark, evil reaches of Mirkwood, nearing the southern mountains that separate north and south, where Dol Guldor lies.

Suddenly, he starts in surprise as an elf drops from the tree above him, quietly as an owls swoop.

With surprise, and some indignation at the straightforward and demanding tone of the strange elf, he makes his reply.

He cries out in sorrow at the doleful words.

Stunned, he stands still as Lithonion disappears into the forest, headed back into danger.

Suddenly, he rushes off north, realizing the importance of his mission.

Thranduil summons Suiauthon to his room.

Who sets out on his steed Uruvion for Lothlorien.

Amrod leads Macileryl and Legolas south, where they discover the truth of Lithonions warning…..

And Suiauthon delivers his message to the march wardens of Lothlorien.

What will come of the warnings? Will Galadhriel and Celeborn be able to stop the shadow spreading from Dol Guldor?

Get your answers in the next episode!

Quoting Mr Viking I love this! I'm not a big fan of the speech bubbles but other than that it is great! Is Lithonion the same elf that Mark created for the Fourth Age?
Yes it is. He asked if I could include him minorly, as he would be alive at the same time.

I agree with Matthew that the letters in the speaking bubbles are a little bit small, but other than that this is a really great introduction into the Mirkwood characters!!
