For the Out of Your Comfort Zone Contest 2012. My category is Humor. My opponent is David Alexander Smith.
About this creation
We all know that the early bird gets the worm, but did you also know that it works just as well the other way around?
By the time the birds got up, The early worm had picked out a sniper's position in the window basket and set up.
Those poor lazy birds were taken out before they could snatch up another worm.
The early worm.
This is the second round of The Out of Your Comfort Zone contest. You can see my opponent, David Alexander Smith, and his entry here.
Score = 5. Hahaha! I needed this laugh today. I have a bird that sits outside my window and chirps in the middle of the night for hours. So this makes me happy in an evil, sinister way. Plus the build is solid - nice job on the bird, the worms are great (cute and evil at the same time!) and the story behind it is a funny twist on an ancient proverb. Well done! You get the first 5 I've handed out. Solid build, plus humor with a twist = 5.
Your worm builds are really cool. Nice idea too. I reckon our round is going to be a really close call. Good luck. If you are interested, here is my take on the early bird theme, I built a few weeks back: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/319065.
HEADSHOT! Oh, sorry, I just had to say that. Internet memes are so contagious these days. Anyway, I'm glad that the birds weren't taken down by those worms from Tremors, Beetlejuice, or Dune, let alone the Sarlaac Pit Monster from Return of the Jedi.
