Advanced Recon Commandos - also known as Advanced Recon Clone troopers or simply ARC troopers - were an elite variant of clone trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Although less numerous than the other clones, they were also among the most skilled soldiers in the galaxy.

About this creation

During the early stages of the clone army's development, Jango Fett and his Mandalorian military advisors advocated the creation of clones capable of handling covert missions too delicate for the standard units. To achieve the desired results, the Kaminoans did not apply the standard behaviour correction and enhanced the prime clone's genetic sample to increase physical prowess. ARC troopers had special training that allowed them to act without thinking. They claimed it was similar to the Jedi's use of the Force.

"Havoc" was the nickname of an ARC clone commander who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Bred on the Wild Space world of Kamino far above the galactic plane, he received constant military training with his brothers. Circa 21 BBY, during the Clone Wars he participated in a battle fought on his Homeworld, which cost his life.

"Blitz" was the nickname of an Advanced Recon Commando commander who oversaw clone trooper training during the Clone Wars. He wore experimental Phase II clone trooper armour. He later participated in the defence of Kamino, where he led three Advanced Recon Force troopers to destroy the attacking Trident drills. Blitz and another ARC trooper were the only survivors of the few ARCs that participated in the battle.

CT-21-0408, nicknamed "Echo," as he was known for "echoing" the standard rules and procedures established for clones, was a clone trooper who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Early in his career, Echo lived within Tipoca City, the capital city of the planet Kamino, and trained in its military complex.

"Colt" was the nickname of an Advanced Recon Commando who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Commander of the Rancor Battalion and advocate of unity on the battlefield, Colt was assigned to Tipoca City on Kamino to select potential ARC trooper candidates from squads of clone cadets nearing the end of their training. Colt participated in the defence of Tipoca City but was killed by the Confederate Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress.

CT-27-5555 was a clone trooper who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Because of his clone designation, he was given the nickname "Fives." Fives's dedication and service to the Republic earned him a spot within the Republic's prestigious 501st Legion. Like all rookie clone troopers, Fives's armour was sleek white and had no dust or damage from fighting because of his lack of combat prior to the Rishi moon battle. He had a "5" tattooed on the top left of his forehead.
