I don't think I'll make it to the next round, but what the heck.
About this creation
Hey everybody on the 'pages! I probably shouldn't have waited until the last day to post this in the contest, but I didn't have time. But I do have a little story, so now it's time for story time.
Once upon a time their was a young, 13-year-old boy who posted mocs using his computer. Then the computer got a virus attack and devastation overcame the teenager. Luckily, he received a new laptop before the contest was over. That, and he celebrated his birthday on May 26th at a steakhouse in California. Their he received a wonderful gift of a limited edition Portal Gun replica made by a company called NECA. Then he lived happily ever after.
Actually, quite the opposite. After I received the Portal Gun,I went home to sleep. When I woke up the next morning, I had somehow managed to get extremely sick. Headaches and retching shook through my body. Fortunately, I had already finished the ninja, but had to complete the pirate (which is why he looked so very rushed). I really got a Portal Gun replica, and I must say that it is probably one of the most awesome gifts a Portal fan can receive. Well, there's my entire story.
On to the moc!
Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to post this, so I'll probably just post their Bios. I am also incurably lazy, which doesn't help.
Captain Salts: Give me your treasure, Shinobi!
Moc Status: Assembled
Random Fact: She was created with an extra finger on her right hand for no apparent purpose.
This ninja, who is nameless, has no past. Not literally, but her past has been erased, from everyone who originally knew her and from her herself. Despite this, she is content. Life of an assassin is an eventful one, and without a name, she is harder to find. She is stoic, and without personality, only killing and avoiding being killed. No one in Mata Nui knows what she does with the money she earns from her jobs, or what she does in her free time, nor do they know her origins. In fact, they know nearly nothing about her, other than her gender and that she never talks, never screams with pain while tortured, and simply continues living. Her life has come to an end, after being shot in a duel between Captain Salts, a target, and herself. Apparently, her body simply dissipated after her death, leaving no one a trace of her species or any clues to where she may have hidden her loot. The only thing remaining was her Katana, which lashed out at anyone who approached it, as if awaiting a new master worthy of wielding it, and attacking anyone who isn't. The boat the battle took place at was later pushed out into the sea, and the whereabouts of the Katana are unknown.
"One of those silent ones, eh? Oh well, you won't need conversation at the bottom of the Sea!"
-Captain Salts, to Shinobi
Name: Howard Salts
Element: Sodium Chloride(Table Salt)
Weapons: Flintlock Pistol, Small Dagger
Moc Status: Assembled
Random Fact: He didn't lose his leg on the sea. He actually lost it at a lumber mill when he was younger.
Howard Salts did not expect to become a pirate when he was a Toa. As a matoran, he always looked up to heroes like Tahu, Kopaka, and the other Toa as idols. He lived near Ga-Koro, in a grass hut, even though he couldn't swim (He could never swim, even as a Toa). One day, while he was off fishing, he saw smoke coming from his hut. From the bushes nearby, he saw a Toa of fire burning his hut down (the Toa was being controlled by a rouge Krana, which he didn't know). As the toa left, he dropped a white stone. Howard picked up the stone as the coast was clear, and went to assess the damage. The conclusion of the attack was clear: Everything Howard owned was destroyed. The only thing was a pistol he traded for five Ruki fish and a small axe. Angered and frustrated, he left for Le-Koro, where he began working at a lumber mill, which was actually illegal. He was arrested, but escaped in a massive breakout. He joined some other prisoners and ventured out to the ocean. It was there that the Toa stone was activated, due to the salt in the water. Howard was immediately transformed, but ignored the principles of the Toa on Mata Nui. He had seen the horrible things he had done (or what he thought they had done) and became a pirate. Years of experience allowed him to eventually become a captain of his own ship, with which he became notorious and gathered a hefty bounty. It was on that same ship, as he stopped at a harbor to restock, that he was killed in a duel with a certain shinobi that was sent to assassinate him.
Captain Salts:Goodbye then.
Fourth Wall Commentary:
Okay, I doubt I'll be making it to round 4. My Pirate was rushed, and my ninja was simple. Although, I did go for a simple look, since ninjas weren't actually all fancy as they depict them today. In fact they actually wore plain clothes, so my ninja would be considered a bit fancy. The pirate on the other hand, is too simple. He was supposed to look very detailed, but being ill didn't exactly help with that process. Oh well, the contest was fun, but wish me luck! (I'll definitely need it...)

These are... really nice, actually. The ninja has s sort of grace about her that none of the other entries have, and the pirate is just so awesome in general. The backstories are very well done, and I think you're the first person to have both of your entries die simultaneously. That's one for the books. :P
