ITS SOCCER TIME!!!!
About this creation
HEY GUYS! This MOC has been one I have been wanting to build for a LONG time. In the first round of the 2012 BIO-CUP ELIMINATORIES , I knew I had to build an original toa. Its between Pohato and Onua for what my first bionicle set was, but it doesn't matter. The contest said to make a "gritty" version of an actual character, so I made him very beefy. I feel like I can relate to Pohatu, because he was not the fighting type, yet he was a friendly guy who happened to like kicking stuff! Pohato uses the mask of speed, and is the original toa of sand. He is a friendly toa, who is always trying to keep the group from fighting. As you can see, I added the Kicking things that the original had on his feet. Well, I hope you like it!
NOTE**********
I AM NOT A BIO BUILDER!!! I don't own much brown for that matter either, but I tried to do the best I could with this MOC. I know the contest says use a limited amount of system pieces, but I couldn't resist it with this MOC. In my opinion, a MOC should be judged by the way it portrays itself, whether or not its 100% bio parts or not. Hopefully you guys can like this for what it is, and not what you typically think makes a great technic/ bio MOC.

THE ORIGINAL

Thanks for checking this out! I hope you like it, and as I said before, please se this for what it is, and not what it typically could have been. and with that, this has been Brickunion758, with my lego MOC, POHATU!!

Very system-heavy, but still pretty cool. Good luck in round one! :) |

Impressive. for someone who is not technically a biomocer your creation is distinct. Hope you still have more for the next round. 8/10 |

Nice Bio-System mix. I would have rated it higher with a bit more work on its thighs, but it's still worth a 7/10. |

Cool. I like the flow and integration of system elements, altough there is really too much of them. Also, could have a better SNOT on the arms. Anyway, 7/10, would give more if it wasn't for the excess of bricks. |

This is quite good, I love how poseable he is! I must say though there are too many bricks. I'm going to allow it this time because this is a fine entry and we're only at the eliminatories, but keep the bricks to a minimum in the rounds to come. 7/10 |

Quoting Pure Epicness
IMO this doesn't really capture the feel of the original pohatu. he should have bulky legs and hips with smaller proportions up top.
Ya I do see your point. I thought about building him that way, but I felt that a "gritty" Pohatu needed to look this way. Maybe I'll fix the issue in a second version. |

Quoting Brickboy the 98th
He look's really nice, but the rules say that you had to minimize Lego bricks to use. but it is a cool entry!
Ya I know, if you read what I wrote above you would understand why there is so much system |

It looks stunning! But I think its to much system for the Bio - Cup D: We will just have to see what they judges say! Good job! Good luck!!!! |
