Hi all this is my attempt to make a modern house down my street, well that was the idea at first but it looks nothing like it x). A few things here and there were missing, i felt due to a lack of the right pieces. A had made this about 3 months ago, well before my Lego Zombies diorama. I just hadn't uploaded the pics because i didn't really like the house upon completion, but i thought i might as well, it did take about 5 hours to make sooooo why not. At the time this was the first thing i had made since the my ''computer hackers room'' , so it had been a 3 month gap since i had really touched Lego. I was a little bit rusty while making this house but enjoy viewing it :)!
About this creation

To start off here's a view showing the side of the house.

Close up shot of the front. At first i had planned to make this house look like a house down my street, but it ended up looking completely different, and completely my own design. I don't know if this happens with most of you, but when i begin building something i have a plan in my head or a drawing of how it will end up looking, but in the end its completely different.

Partayy time, plenty of drinks and the food is being cooked and on its way.

Alternate angle.

I thought it would be a good idea to empty out all the minifigs so that kitchen could be viewed properly, i went through many ideas but ended with this one for the kitchen because i liked the color.

Alternate shot of the bottom floor, here you can see a better view of the fridge and kitchen layout.

One more alternate angle.

Now to the top floor, here you can see a storage shelf on the right corner, this shelf displays many collectables items, a couch (what Bruce Wayne is doing with a flamingo dancer, i don't know, a bed and last of all a coffee table. At first i was going to make a staircase, but unfortunately that would have taken up too much space on the bottom and top floors =/, i would have made the floor area bigger if i had more dark grey wall pieces, unfortunately i don't.

The other side of the bedroom, showing drawer's, a guitar and an amplifier, (i play guitar myself so i tried to make the amp look like a Marshall amp with the gold buttons), a Tv set with the Telly on top.

Here's an alternate shot of the house with the second floor detached. The lighting at my place kinda sucks, so i couldn't take a clear image of the front of the house without the bottom part looking dark or blurry, so i thought I'd take a shot of just the bottom so you could see the details a bit clearer :)

I thought it'd be fun to take a pic of the house next to the Pet Shop set. As you can see the Pet Shop is much higher and bigger overall. They don't really match at all haha :D. The color and the architecture of the Pet Shop seems to come from a different time and place completely.
Thank you all so much for coming here to have a look at this.
I've been on a ''Lego Break'' for a few months so to speak, but now I'm back and trying to create a whole variety of things that i hope you all can enjoy :)

I had to made an account here just so I could tell you how much I like this house! I like that it looks modern, fits in well with the modulars, but still has a classic LEGO feel. Nice work!
Wow thank you so much! I uploaded this house about 2 months after I made it, at first I had planned on making it a little different from what is looks like here but didn't have the pieces and so it ended up like this. To be honest I was unhappy with it and that's why I took so long to upload it onto my page, you've just given me a whole lot of confidence for my future creations, so thanks again :) |
