Let's play! Bio-Cup 2012: Eliminatories!
Gavla. Yes, why not?
About this creation
"You might say I've seen the light... by peering into the darkness. And now you're going to see it, too."

Name: Gavla.
Titles: None.
Species: Av-Matoran, formerly Shadow Matoran.
Status: Alive.
Occupation: Leader of the Shadow Matoran (formerly), Karda Nui Worker (formerly).
Power: Light, Shadow (formerly).
Personality: While not inherently evil, Gavla lacks the friendship of her fellow Av-Matoran, and as such is embittered toward them. When transformed into a Shadow Matoran, she battled her former tribe mates willingly, out of the perceived wrongs against her. Upon being cured and transformed back into an Av-Matoran, Gavla found herself, once again, without any friends, and desired to return to the Makuta.
Mask: Avsa, Mask Of Hunger (formerly). It allows its user to drain light, energy, or positive emotions from a target at a distance. She had this mask on a Noble form, so its powers were locked to her.
Main Weapon: Talon Blades.
Secundary Weapon: Fangs, Razor Wings.
Theme Song: None.
Character Song: None.
MOC Status: Disassembled.

The cute and lovely Gavla set.

My sweet and adorable Gavla revamp.

Legs. Nothing special, I know, but they were the best option for beast-legs idea. Also, let her to store her weapons.

Torso is totally cool! And custom! And even has a Heartlight! HEARTLIGHTS FTW!!!

Side of the torso. You can see better the custom stuff.

Arm. Another custom thing. The hand design was stolen from one of my Etherians, Neaboros, which I haven't post yet.

The back of Gavla, with the wings.

'Custom' head. You know, I have seen similar designs on a lot of MOCs, I don't know who was the first one to use it, so... I personally don't like custom heads to holding masks very much, but judges do =D

Now, let's have some action!

Landing!

Holding her talons! I really liked these weapons, and I didn't want to give a custom and bad versions of them, so I keeped them.

Threatening!

Defending!

Slashing!

Comparative with the original Gavla set (also, comparative with a Matoran built).

Comparative with a Toa Inika built, and a McToran built.

Surait: Hey! A camera! Hello, viewers!
Lianyu: Long time since I'm in a photo!
Gavla: Why I'm here with these fools...

Final pic.

Gavla's info was extracted from her BioSector01's page.
And if you want to join the contest, or watch another revamps, click in BioCup 2012. Hurry up, you only have until June 6th!

I would never though to join the BioCup. Why? Well, I'm not the best from here, and I don't really like to build MOCs under certain conditions. Everyone knows who will win it I have to 'fight' agains Dragonmaster, Callan, Cossy, Galaxus, Fenrek or Chronos, right?
After seeing the revamps of a lot of people, I thought that it was impossible to me to get even a chance to go to the first round...
But then I saw Gavla's box on my bedroom. Gavla and Vamprah where my favourite pair of sets (I bought them twice!), but Vamprah was very fragile, so most of time I was playing with Gavla. I stared at the box and I thought: 'Well, let's try anyways.' I'm not good with big ones, but small MOCs are my speciality. So, here I am. Wish me luck, boys.

Thanks for watching, commenting and rating!! Good luck everyone!

Great improvement on the set! The background is a bummer though, and those pins sticking out of his shins don't look good. A fine entry nonetheless, you almos got and 8 from me, but yeah, 7/10

At first, I wanted to use a different background for each mOC, but I'm getting tired of that. As you say, a white one would be better, I'm trying to make one for the next MOCs. Thanks for the comments and evaluations! ^^

Next time use a clean white background. I like how you retained the vampiric look. 7/10

Very nice. You kept that hunchbacked vampire feeling from the original and improved it. The clawed, unproportioned hands are a cool feature. You presentation suffers for the lack of a clean background, though. You wanna know why? When we see your home's floor, we're immediately reminded that we're looking at a toy, and that disrupts any attempt at characterization. I ruined some of my best works because of that... 7/10.

I always wanted one of the shadow matoran. You did a great job as usual.
Quoting L.A. Miranda Who says I play Blazblue? ;D Nah, just kidding. I have just finished playing CT, but I don't have PS3 or XBox, so I can't play CS and, obsiusly, I couldn't play with Hazama yet. I'm waiting for the CSII for 3DS (a 'self-present' for my birthday), however. My favourite characters are Arakune and Taokaka, with the second one I could get a 15 hit combo (12 hit vs Hakumen once! =0), too, although with Arakune I could get more perfect wins. (Sorry for comment here, but you probably won't see the response if I do it on my page =P)
I have the 3DS version. Hazama and the DLC characters are already included. I'm okay with Taokaka. I have a 13 hit combo, but It relies on weak attacks and barely does any damage. My most used is Makoto, and I have some good combos with her. I try to use her comet cannon in my attacks. I love the character gag reels. Rachel's make me laugh every time. Tao's nicknames are a great touch too. The best (and most embarrassing part of BB is whenever Jin meets Ragna.

Quoting Strakk The Glatorian With all the entries I've been seeing including yours, I probably wont make it past the first round...
I think like you about my MOCs, but you can try it. Maybe you will be surprised, I have seen your MOCs and you have good ideas, sir. I encourage you to do it.

Not bad, not bad at all. I first quite quickly skimmed the thing through, but Gringat's comment caught my attention, which made me scroll back and gotta say, that elbow is quite genial. It could work for many purposes. I'm not the ideal person to use it though, but it has it's advantages. I feel always a little awkward about back-bended knees (except for birds), but other than that you did a nice revamp here. I wish you good luck =]

You're not the only one unconfident, although I'm afraid Cossy won't be making it. But still, I'll be quite unlucky if I'm matched up with those people myself! You yourself could give me a hard time, I think, this entry is better than many I've seen, even with how small the character is! I'm sure you'll make it past the eliminatories, and I wish you good luck throughout the competition!

Quoting Gringat the Repugnant Very nice parts usage. I'm seeing a lot of parts attached merely because they're trapped by other bits, instead of actual pin or axle connections. I've never seen that elbow technique either, but I can see it opening a whole tonne of possibilities. Could even let me give my bohrok revamp a posable neck, if you let me. :)
Are my eyes deceiving me? The great Gringat is asking me for using this simple idea? O.O It would be a honor if you use it. Seriously. Go ahead. I will be grateful if you give me the credits for it, althought you don't have the obligation to do it. And thanks for the comments everyone!
