About this creation

Eliminatories....Gritty revamp of a set....

Reidak was one of the strongest Piraka, and possessed great endurance. He enjoyed causing destruction and damage wherever he can, a personality that often irritated Avak. As a hunter, Reidak had excellent tracking skills, assisted by his vision powers. Though smart and cunning, he felt he was strong enough to defeat any foe without having to resort to a lot of planning and trickery, and was very impatient.

Reidak had a great need for freedom of movement, despising lack of movement and having to stay in the same spot for long. He also disliked enclosed spaces, and extended this attitude to Avak, who could make prisons that he cannot escape from. Though he did not show it often, Reidak was very intelligent, calculating all the details of the Shadowed One's plan to unleash the Kanohi Dragon on Metru Nui.

He possessed infrared and thermal imaging vision, which allowed him track down his enemies. He had the power to acclimate to his opponent's powers after every fight, therefore he could not be defeated the same way twice. Reidak could also access the Elemental Power of Earth when working with another Skakdi.

Reidak's Theme/Boss Battle - Bionicle Heroes

Let's start things off with a pose!

Reidak: Any last words?

Another pose! Reidak readies for an attack on an unsuspecting toa....

Front view.

Left side.

Back view.

Right side.

Front of legs (close-up).

Torso (close-up).

Back of legs (close-up).

The "spine" that all Piraka have. Probably the coolest thing about them...

Reidak looking all triumphant, as he sheds his stock set torso.

Reidak: It outlived it's purpose....

Reidak VS. Matoro. I used the official Matoro set. I just had to recreate SOMETHING along the lines of the 2005/2006 storyline.

Reidak: Any last words, Toa?

Reidak looking in the distance....

Reidak closing in on 2 of those pesky matoran. Official sets from 2006, Velika and Kazi.

Reidak readies to capture the matoran, but Matoro steps in to save them! Can the toa win?

YOU CONTROL THE ACTION!

Reidak with the one of the books he was in. It further takes place in the Voya Nui storyline.

Reidak comparison pic. I love the info on him in this pic for some reason.

Piraka Reidak Revamp (2012 Bio-Cup Entry)

WIP picture.

Fourth Wall: This was a fun build! With school ending on Friday, this was a well needed moc that can be built! I particularly love the torso, the Hero Factory feet fit in so well. The legs were the thing I started on first, and the torso wasn't hard to figure out. Reidak was by far my favorite set from 2005-2006, and is probably my favorite villian of all time. Hope this entry makes it past the eliminatories! I want to make it into my 2nd Bio-Cup!

Comments and constructive criticism appreciated. KP out!

Quoting Berial . The torso is great, and it looks great the way it is. Making it moveable would certainly improve it but as massive as that is it would be a hard task. My problem here are the arms and legs. Why would you make such a fantastic torso and complement it with pety arms and legs? Though the legs are bulky and more in proportion with the body, they don't look very good to me and the arms are almost exactly like the set's ones but in a much bigger structure. You could have had one of the best scores in the whole competition if you had given him custom hands, three parted legs and a crooked up back or even a hunchback look, but all the mistakes I said avoid me from giving him anything more than a solid 7/10.
I honestly never thought of making the 3-part legs, and I completely forgot about custom hands. As for the arms, I slacked off a little. I know it needs to re-working, but there is only so much you can do with available parts. I would have made both arms custom if I had 2 more Bohrok Technic pieces, but I ran out...

I do think you did well in redoing Reidak. It still looks like him but with a more menacing body. 8/10

Quoting Yuri Fassio Seriously, the next time I see a complete custom built torso dubbing as a huge technic block I'll scream. There is literally no excuse for building a torso from scratch and not making it a least a bit poseable. Don't get me wrong, it's still a cool build, well presented and in theme. But I don't feel like giving it more than a 7/10.
I know the torso has it's strengths and weaknesses, but the arms are actually very poseable. I never took apicture of a pose with the arms up due to the spine not being able to reach that high up.

now this is bulky. very good build and a nice look. I think the torso is a bit too big, though (or limbs are too small), giving him kind of a funny look. Anyway, 8/10

I can understand the gold on the legs, but I wanted to keep the original set's color scheme. That meant I had to use mostly black on the legs.

Long time no see! And a great bionicle too! My favorite part has to bee the legs. However, the torso seems a little too buff for him, and I wish you had put in the glowy eyes, my favorite part of the original piraka. But a great moc nonetheless!

Quoting Toa M. I absolutely love everything about the MOC... except the arms. It's just that there are so many things You could've done to make them so much better.... But You didn't. Why?
*sigh* I explained that in a lower comment, but I'll say it again. The spine only can travel so far. It woulnd't reach to where I wanted it. I left the arms like this to help keep some sort of stock shaping to the set.

For some reason, the gold chest annoys me. It definitely needs more gold, but the shaping is so exellent, it'd be hard to sacrifice it. Nonethesless, I'd add more. Behond that, most exellent creation.

Quoting Cody G This guy is built like a brick outhouse! Very nice work on getting a bulky character. His arms don't do the rest of him justice, but they don't detract from the overall look very much.
Well, the spine could only travel so far. Besides, I am low on some of my black pieces. I wanted to keep them stock-looking though.

Quoting Legofreak2444 ~ Great job. :D I really like the bulky look you gave him, which fits the character much better then the original. The torso seems a bit wide, but that's a minor complaint. One thing I think you could change though, is the silver Metru armor pieces on his upper arms. They just don't work with the color scheme.
They bother me too. I wish I had black Metru armor like that, but I don't. I couldn't use black ones due to poseability issues. Thanks for the comments!
Quoting Raviel Ze MOCist! Great, the only thing that I have to criticize is the silver on his upper arms. The color of it was really out of place. But other than that, great work!
