Star Wars diorama depicts Jawas conducting a Droid Auction on the outskirts of Mos Eisley, Tatooine.
About this creation
This Star Wars diorama depicts Jawas conducting a Droid Auction. This location is on the outskirts of Mos Eisley, the largest spaceport on remote planet of Tatooine. The Jawas have arrived in two of their Sandcrawlers, unloaded their wares for inspection, and are now beginning the auction with the hope for some brisk bidding.
The Sandcrawlers, battered and worn are showing their age now. The Lego factory set 10144 is one of my all time favourites with plenty of detail, and great minifigs. I have made a few changes to one to differentiate them.

Street-scape of Mos Eisley.

A reasonable crowd have gathered for the auction. Stormtroopers are also keeping a watchful eye over the proceeding for any suspicious activities.

Jawas’ Auctioneer (English Translation) “This R1-series astromech droid is in great working order and has been fully reconditioned by our skilled technicians. You won’t be disappointed with this one, as tough as they come… now do I have an opening bid?”

Some of the wide selection of Droids that are on offer today.

More of the droids available for purchase.

Many of the crowd keen to take home a bargain, although some are doubtful of the quality and reliability when buying from the Jawas.

Fantastic diorama! Did you use both these Sandcrawlers to make the larger one?
I'm planning to make my Sandcrawler remote controlled with motors to drive the tracks, drive linear actuators to drop down the hatch and operate a crane within. |
