The Queen Anne's Revenge
Nearly 300 years ago, this infamous pirate vessel terrorized merchant ships and ports alike, always on the hunt for her next victim. Originally constructed in England as a frigate and christened Concorde, she was captured by the French navy after just one year of service. Seven years later, the pirate Benjamin Hornigold led an attack on her and overthrew the crewmen, quickly converting her to a pirate ship. The captain then handed her over to his first mate Edward Teach, thus triggering a year long reign of terror which would haunt the oceans for centuries.
About this creation

Teach's famous flag depicted a skeleton toasting the devil whilst jabbing a spear into a bleeding heart. Any sighting of this flag was a sure sign that you were in for the fight of your life!

The main deck of the Revenge. Ladders lead down to the gun deck/ cargo hold whilst the railings were fitted with dozens of small one-man cannons to increase the ship's firepower. Teach's personal touch.

I built the real ship right on top of the official set's hull, adding two decks and a whole year's worth of detailing. This build was designed to depict the real Queen Anne's Revenge in all her glory. In actual fact, the POTC version looks practically nothing like the real one. Sadly, the bottom gun deck is fake since the only cannons and gun ports I have came with the set.

Here is the poop deck and helm. I put more effort into perfecting this than any other part of the ship, taking up a good three months of tweaking!

A profile view of the cabin.

Inside view. I expanded the size to increase playability and match the more realistic Black Pearl cabin.

The Figurehead. Even though there is no evidence from the recently discovered wreck site that she even had one, I designed this to represent an almost demonic version of Queen Anne II, whom the ship was named after.

A very blurry photo of the gun deck. I think LEGO's cannon design took a little too much room to fire and so, in my opinion, is great for display but not good for use in enclosed spaces like here.

Stern detail. It took a lot of attempts to get this as close as possible to that of a classic naval vessel, but I'm pretty proud of the result.

A nice, clear shot of the entire deck with the masts removed.

And, as promised, some full shots of the whole ship. She really is the crown jewel of my MOC collection!

The Crew:
Captain Benjamin Hornigold
I don't know very much about this pirate's life other than that he led the capture of Concorde and would eventually go on to become a pirate hunter. After giving Concorde to his first mate , he never crossed paths with Teach since.

Edward Lowe
Even though this pirate didn't serve on the Revenge, he did associate with Teach on several occasions during his career. This scarred buccaneer was famous for his dark methods of torture and very short temper.

Captain Edward Teach "Blackbeard"
Rising from his quarters like a devil from hell, Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard was the living representation of all things pirate. Wreathed in smoke billowing from cannon fuses in his beard, he stood 6'6 and fought in battle like a wild animal. His weapons were six flintlock pistols fitted to a shoulder belt, grenades and a heavy cutlass. In 1718, Blackbeard ran the Revenge aground about a mile off the coast of North Carolina. Left with no choice but to abandon her, he continued his pirate career with just three small sloops. After accepting a pardon from North Carolina, many thought Blackbeard was gone from the seas. But Blackbeard was no law- abiding land lubber and quickly returned to his old ways until the navy eventually caught up with him. Fighting to the death, Teach took at least five gun shots and twenty cutlass wounds until collapsing to the deck of his final sloop the Adventure.

So that's my rendering of the Queen Anne's Revenge. I hope you have found this informative and enjoyable. If I could, I would love to see the wreck someday and my only regret is that I never got to witness this beautiful vessel in her prime. Bye for now!

Coming Soon, The Black Pearl!!

well, then go darkbrown and normal, isted of dark and darkred, like everyone else, i suggest 1 line of darkbrown in the bottow, then 2-3 lines of red in the middle, and another line of darkbrown at the top, try to look at my mocs, ive improved alot, my first moc, had a primary color at 1, my newst has 7 prime colors, and that last ship, look so much better than the first, start out with only have max 2 prime colors, then you can add 1 maybe 2 (start with one) bi color, a color that supports the prime colors, but in a much much less amount, try to look at some diffrent people ships, and then you can see exactly what im talking about,

Quoting Morthen P as for calling it QAR isnt a good start, becasue, nothing at all, is simelary to the real one, (exept the flag) NOTHING, but i like the curved windows/cabin, and your color choice could have been better, insted of just throw the imperial flagship into it, and the 2 gun decks, the ship would sink before it reached the harbour, because its extremely low, besides that, its a pretty good you did manage to make 2 gun decks, i havent done that yet, its an okay job you have made, but with room for alot of improvements, i dont hope im to harsh on you, if i am, then im sorry, i just always give a full rewiew of the mocs i comment at, but see this as an help, and not negative criticize, i know how hard it is to build a ship, and the first ones are always the hardest, trust me on that,
I don't mind the criticizing, anyone who posts their creations must be prepared for it. I don't own the Imperial Flagship by the way, but I'll definitely do what I can to improve her. The idea of having two gun decks was just to see how it would look. I'll convert the bottom into a cargo hold one day and try to give you some interior shots. What would be your suggestion for a color scheme? I'm not too keen on following the red/black scheme that practically all the QARs on MOCpages have.

Quoting Sebeus I Nice but I'm missing some main views of the whole ship. The stern castle looks very nice; I also like that flag you made.
Noted. Thank you for letting me join your group by the way. More pictures on the way!
