Ladies and gentlemen... here it is. The behemoth is back, my De Tomaso Pantera at super omega jumbo scale!
About this creation

I'd like to say first off that I really gave this a good go of it. I tried to be more accurate than I was with the Plymouth, and to add even more functionality than the Plymouth had. I think I've succeeded.

Second off, some advertising! : Please support De Tomaso's LEGO Bird Project

I went outside a bit; quite the production getting myself and 20 tons of car out the door. It barely fit through the door! =O

It was also immensely hot, like being in a toaster... a giant, sunny toaster. With no toast! Oh the horror!

I took a whole heap of views, I think this car deserves every one of them. =)

It's like a giant yellow corn cob, except made of brickery and car parts.

I'll take this time to list the functions I can remember off the top of my head....

....Working independant suspension, steering, doors, trunk, hood, parcel shelf (over the engine), lights, pedals, shifters, etc...

I could go on, but I figure since I'll go into all that stuff in painstaking detail later, I'll just be quiet.

Working door handles. All the rage, these days. Can't imagine why.

Everything open. Lots of hinges indeed.

The engine bay, lined with fuzzy fabric in the real thing.

The working V8 powerhouse. POWA!!!

The parcel shelf, which is sprung to stay up, or lock into it's 'down' spot.

Chancellor Fuzzy Mittens has come to our aid!

The trunk in the front, which is more of less taken over by the battery. Why a battery you say?

Why to power the headlights, of course! =D

More lighty views...

The pedals are sprung just as last time, for fake driving fun. However...

When you press the brake pedal, something special happens! (This is currently just some photo mashing stuff, but once I get 2 Lego extension cords, this will really work in the car. As of now, this is just me pushing the unpowered brake switch and the battery box hooked directly up the the brake lights.) It has running lights and brake lights at the back, so you can tell between night-time driving and stopping.

The crisp white interior! CRISPY NOM NOM NOM!!! (idk, posting this took over an hour and now I'm tired)

The gearstick, and the parking brake lever, keep in mind that the parking brake is about as useful as an umbrella in a hurricane.

Things moving about

The dash, with its various working and decorative things. The steering wheel is just a dummy one, the real steering knob is hidden at the back, for better car pushing action. However, at 7 lbs, this car is just to heavy for much push-and-go fun.

Openable glovebox, with real glovebox action. Now available in 4 design gloveboxes. Box to the glove!

Adjustable seats, fully backed up. Leg room to the EXTREME!!! =D

Fully forward

Some "$$$$" views. This cars so big it gets 3.

Here's the 4 speed, clutch, and some workings for the steering knob.

This turned out to be a splendid photo, it shows the crankshaft design, the differential, and the cylinder construction all in one photo! I did have to edit out some things, though. =P
A pile of extra views, nothing special. Just more pics.

Thanks for watching, have a good day!
