BZ004 MPF - BLACK CUSTOM
An example for my Mech Factory contest...
About this creation
Here is a look at what you can do using my Mech / Gundam Basic Frame click here that I offered up for my Mech factory contest! Pls do NOT judge this model in the contest it is to be used for inspiration and ideas! I just wanted to show what could be done fairly rapidly with my frame!

There is still time to join my Mech Factory: Build a Mech contest click here !

r u using an apple product? seems to be an issue. If not try tech support for LDD they can send you a disc instead of a direct download!

the frame is almost identical, but i changed 10 blocks worth of joints. These are actually the same size, if not slightly smaller, as my archangel, diver and hunter mechs

change whatever you want as long as it is ten pieces or less
Quoting Krill Zayvalov well yeah, but im copying it piece to piece, so it would be exactly the same, but you gave the ten block difference limit, and it would be withing the ten block thing. oh btw can i use the block change limit to change the joints?

don't u worry more nostalgic robots and other stuff coming soon!
Quoting Chris Phipson Not a big LDD fan myself but since I KNOW you could build circles around a computer... Great design Chris! I really like this Gundam kick you've been on and can't wait to see more! Maybe branching out into other 80's nostalgia in the future? Thundercats or MASK perhaps? ~ Chris.

Cheers, I would love to just build and use trial and with bricks but they all got sold about 12 yrs ago, apparently I was to "old" to be playing with Lego!! So I plan to moc up using LDD then order the correct pieces, thank you for your help this is like a childhood dream come true!

some people find it difficult some easy - i have a background in CAD so to me its easy once you get used to the programs nuances.... but i prefer building with real bricks over LDD any day!
Quoting Ben White Hi I am very new to this and having alot of problems with my laptop and LDD, once I get these sorted out how easy is LDD to use as a complete novice?? Really liking your work to been watching your YouTube vids for a while now.

I don't use LDD a lot - but I am extremely proficient as I use to do CAD drawings / modeling early in my real career - this only took an hour or two with beer in hand! Quite soothing!
Quoting Parrington Levens Bulky. How hard was this to do in LDD? I find LDD to be fidgety once the MOc gets past 20 studs long, probably just me :)

Love all the detail work. Really nicely put together. The trusters on the back are a great looking design. Very sharp mech

Cool infantry looking mech. I can see battalions of these marching to battle. LDD is, for me, just a bit over organized. Part of the fun of building is using what you have. LDD gives you unlimited amounts of every piece TLG makes. I know you build in plastic, and I in no way discount the people who use it, I've seen amazing stuff in digital. Your use here is a good example. Being able to use a base frame to experiment, will save you loafs of time. Thanks so much for sharing. ~cheers

interesting use of the frame. Have to admit I've been having issues with my new laptop and with ldd recently, so I've not done too much on my entry for the comp. I'm hoping to get a stretch with very little else to do in August and just concentrate on that for a few days. That is assuming whatever is up with the laptop is fixable in time. My old one is ok, but it isn't nearly as powerful, so some features in ldd glitch (a lot) making a large project like this too frustrating.
