I know my MOCiversary was back in February. I’m doing it now because I completely forgot about it then. So, here it goes…
About this creation
On February 1, 2011 I was searching Google for custom Lego figs. I kept coming across a link for MOCpages. I decided to click on it and see where it would bring me. I looked around for awhile and then finally hit the legendary “sign up” button.
February 2, 2011 was the day it all started. I was looking on Bricklink at classic space sets when my inspiration was born. I busted out my space shuttle and got to work. It eventually turned into this, which I listed as “pretty good”. Nowadays I think of it as “pretty bad”. All it is was a bunch of minifigs standing in front of a space shuttle.
My first comic series (which wasn’t much of one) went by the name of MOCSquad 49. It told the tales of a rough n’ tough crew of soldiers and their trusty army jeep. The three episodes were some of my most popular MOCs for awhile.
I found out about WIPs, so I decided to try one with my “Star Wars Diorama”. It turns out there had to be two WIPs for this MOC.
The second WIP would be the last anyone saw of the diorama. A few days after the post it was dumped into a bucket and never seen again...
One day I was scanning the pages and kept coming across CYOAs. I signed up for a few and then decided to make my own. I called it the “X-Squad CYOA”. I filled all the places but didn’t make the first episode. The project was later moved into my newly created “Failed Projects” folder.
As of today, my most popular MOC is my entry for round one of MOCers Idol. It has four likes and I don’t know how many views. It is one of my best works as well.
My personal favorite is the “Midi-Scale Army Jeep”. It’s a ton of detail in such a small vehicle. It is also my second most popular MOC as of right now.
There will be more to come, bigger and better than before. This is a little sneak peak of my Market Village WIP.
So many people inspire me I can’t even name them all. Here is a list of a few:
