The Hunger Games is all about a dystopian empire called Panem (that's what I said too) centered in a capitol city ruling over 12 districts. Imagine Haiti. There you go. The people are very poor. Every year the capitol demands a boy and a girl from each district between 12 and 18 years old to fight in a contained arena until one is left. I won't give away any book details though.
What's a Quarter Quell?
A Quarter Quell is a special edition of the Hunger Games conducted every 25 years with a twist or two. For example, in the first, the fighters (called Tributes) were voted in by their peers rather than being chosen by lottery. There are often other twists, such as the inedibility of certain normally edible foods.
In a few short weeks, me and LJ will be bringing you the unedited Quarter Quell.
