Morris Mini
About this creation
This is my large scale Morris Mini (ie the "old" Mini). Took me quite a while to build.
38 studs long (not including bumper bars) and 14 wide (not including the wheel guards). Personally I think it looks much better in the flesh. My photography skills still leave much to be desired.
Enjoy.

Interior from the driver's door. Clock tile was the closest I could get to matching the centre-mounted speed-o. Steering wheel does turn the front wheels.

The front. Not much to see here. Will look better once I get the headlights lit up.

Dude, where's my engine??? (I have left the engine bay empty as I intend to put in a battery box hooked up to some LEDs to light up the headlights. I deliberately left holes behind the headlights inorder to do this. I still need to source some LEDs etc to suit.

Roof off to show the interior. There wasn't much to the interior of the Minis, so I kept it pretty simple.

One more exterior shot to end on.

Thanks for looking. C&C welcome. My next large scale car should be completed within a week.

Quoting TheLegoNoitAll . Very impressive! the front and roof are great! too bad you had to pull it apart D: why can't Lego be less expensive? anyway i love how you put steering in it, especially from the steering wheel :D if it looks better in flesh it must be hard to tell it's Lego!
Cheers! Yeah it was a shame to pull apart but I have limited space as well as limited parts. But, it means more models can be made and that's where the fun is :-)

Thanks for the comments everyone. I pulled this apart over the weekend, was a sad moment for me. But I'll probably build another in a smaller scale and possibly also make one of the new minis as well.... one day.

Excellent build! I particularly like the wheel arches and the roof - they're exactly like the real thing!

I like you're style, reminds me of mine. You prefer steering over engine inside the car. I think so too, steering comes 1st engine after (if there is place for it under the hood) Excellent work, i like it.
