TAIS-02-P "Spearman"
Second Tier Prototype of the Spearman, ESC's newest urban combat platform.
About this creation

Continuing the development process. The Spearman is still only a Second Tier Prototype. As such, nothing in the design is finalized.

The prototype is currently armed with only the two triple round rocket launchers and a shoulder mounted cannon. More weapons will be developed/adapted for the Spearman soon.

This version now features an enclosed cockpit. The pilot operates the unit from the backpack unit via nueral trace link. The link had been parred down for use by general infantry.

This is the single most armored part of the unit, as the pilot's safety is the ESC's utmost priority. It features a dual lattice of laminate armor.

CREDITS:

A huge credit to bermudafreze on Flickr. It was the cockpit to his Fuchikoma that I used for the pilot pack. A round of applause please.

CREATOR'S NOTES:

Well, Second tier is complete. Let's see what we have in store for the third, yes?

I've been thinking of attempting something with a cockpit backpack for sometime, great minds and all, but I've still not got round to realising it in Lego yet. Crazy busy at the moment so it may need to wait a couple of weeks. love the stooping gait on this design.

Quoting Mike Johnson "Ah, I see." said the blind man to this newest rendition standing before me. Much more yummy now with the upgrades. Still, could that backpack cockpit survive a direct hit from an RPG or even a PPC? We must put this to the test!
Laminate Armor is very strong and can deflect explosive rounds. It spreads impacts over the entire lattice layer. But it can crack and flake off over several instaneous impacts. A heavy fast-firing machine gun is actually more of a threat than an rpg.
