For my ninth alternative of 4100 Maximum Wheels, I decided to make something special. Seeing Nathanael Kuipers' 5867 F1 Car, I decided to make a Ferrari F1 racer.
About this creation
This set was the perfect colors for an F1 racer, and it looked rather nice at the end.
Formula 1 Racers are notoriously difficult to make with Lego due to their many curves. Making such an aerodynamic shape with just 4100 was extremely hard, and it took many hours to perfect.
I would have liked to make it all studless, but this was impossible as the set has only 4 tiles.
I used an "illegal" technique here. This was done to get the shaping and details just right.
Making a ten-wide out of this set is very hard, as the set itself is 6-8 wide. I had to make creative use of some of the pieces given. I think that this F1 is an improvement over that official one in the set, as this one has more realistic curves and colors.
The bottom, which is mostly filled. It has very low ground clearance.
