So I guess I have the honor of being the first one to post in this contest. Yay me! Anywho, this is Mech Factory MDL#0019 - aka SledgeHammer. SledgeHammer is a combat based mech, but in rare cases due to that giant hammer of his, this model is used for Demolition "projects" as well. SledgeHammer is well armed and a force to be reckoned with.
About this creation

Front view. SledgeHammer's coloration includes Dark Blue for the base body, Dark Green for the Armor, and dabs of Metalic Dark Grey and Black for the weapons and joints. SledgeHammer's "mouth plate" is also colored Black.

SledgeHammer's beefy Hammer Arm. SledgeHammer's right arm is more bulky than is left arm due to the weight of his Giant SledgeHammer he carries around. This arm also has an energy blade attached to it, for incase the Hammer is knocked out of its Hand, he still has something there to fight with.

Close up the the Giant SledgeHammer, which is this mech's primary weapon. This thing packs quite a wallop.

The mech's feet. His lower feet have boosters on them, so that way SledgeHammer can still move at a decent speed while swinging that Hammer around. The increase isn't that great however, as he still moves somewhat slow.

Back view. The clip on his back is so he can stow away his Hammer when its not in use.

The Gun Arm. This arm is less bulky than his Hammer Arm, as it is designed to carry other lighter weaponry.

SledgeHammer's Six-shot energy cannon. With a rotating cannon barrel, if your not already smashed to pieces by the Hammer, this cannon will surely finish the job.

There is also a small blade on the underside of this arm, for extreme dire cases. Call it a "last resort" if you will.

The chest. If you can't tell, SledgeHammer's chest is a homage to a certain transformer - re-colored shoulder cannon included. The pilot inside the chest is supposed to be like a lego version of me :)

The Head. The Head is designed to be shaped like a Hammer in-itself, as a reference to the mech's name. This shot also gives a great look at his shoulder cannon, and his over-the-shoulder single rocket launcher.

My changes to the basic frame. I have re-colored the changed parts in red. I swapped the 1x2 flat piece on the top of the head for a "corner piece" to place the back of the "hammer" head on. I also removed the 1x8 piece just behind the neck, and replaced it with 2 1x3s and a 1x2 flat piece. I did this because having the studs sticking out behind the neck just bugged me.

These exhaust pipes let out "exhaust" as the arm prepares to swing its mighty Hammer weapon. This is done so the mech does not overheat, as I have said before, it takes a lot of power to swing that Hammer with a lot of force.

Shot of the SledgeHammer weapon being stowed on the mech's back.

So at the end of the day, you best hope this mech isn't staring you down - cause odd's are, you wouldn't live to tell the tale.
That's all! Hope you like it!

7.5/10 The weapon choice is a bit outlandish, but that's not always bad thing. The arms bulky yet the pieces you used allowed them to remain smooth, but the legs aren't as smoothly done and are kind of clunky. |

I like this a lot - the homage to Soundwave, the colourscheme, the great big hammer all really appeal to me. My only criticism of the design is that the hammer handle seems too thin for such a mighty weapon, and I'm fairly sure the clip on the back wouldn't support the weight of the hammer if this were built in bricks. So, overall score = 9 |
