About this creation
My Round 1 entry for The First Official Moccer Cup 2012 In the Average category, colors were limited to six. Colors used were:

-Black -Brown -Grey (Light) -Yellow -Tan -Red

I know it's a little late, but I've been trying to get this uploaded since Friday and it just wouldn't take my pictures. I think I've got the problem fixed, and I'll throw myself on the judges' mercies that they'll go ahead and accept this in light of my technical difficulties.

The main airship I'm calling the "WarHawk" and another smaller flying plane-helicopter-whirlybird-thing. This was a little different from my normal fare, but it was kind of fun to go somewhere different. The picture's a little blurry, but eh, it is what it is.

This gatling gun is how I got the idea for this build. I had the idea of stacking the little cylinder pieces to make barrels and it all just sort of went from there.

It tilts up and down and swivels 360 degrees.

Ready... Aim... Fire!

Can't have a gun without buwwets...

One of the side turrets.

They rotate too, but only about 90 degrees.

There are also bomb clamps under the wings.

Bombs away!

Here's the cockpit, complete with ye olde airship captain.

Another shot of the cockpit and second deck.

Second deck with cockpit removed. It's actually made of two boats, which was kind of difficult to pull off, actually.

Main deck with boiler.

Something not working? It's time to try the time-honored tradition of "Percussive Realignment of Components"... In other words; hit it.

Detail of the top of the wing.

Detail of the wing's bottom. Notice the open part with the propeller...

The little whirlybird machine complete with robot pilot.

The Crew. It was difficult to put together a full compliment of minifigures to go with the model and still stay in the color limitations. I knew I would have to use yellow and black at least, which is why I chose this idea in the first place. I had to modify a couple of things, but now they're all within the limitations.

The Captain was fun to figure out. I wanted to give her a robotic arm, but I didn't want to just use a normal grey minifigure arm, so I finally figured out how to construct this out of a lever, a technic connector, and a black minifigure hand.

And that's all folks! I hope the contest judges cut me some slack since I had so many issues with uploading. I've figured out how to make it work, so it shouldn't be a problem again.

Quoting Romany Woodhouse I meant to comment on this ages ago when I first saw it on my phone. Excellent design, it looks fantastic!
Thanks, I'm glad you think so. It was fun doing something different, and the color restrictions for the contest added a nice little challenge to it as well.

Quoting Space Gypsy . Paddy says it's okay. But you'll have to get your round two entry up before that deadline. For what it's worth I'll judge this. Creativity: 8/10 Imagination: 7/10 Build: 48/50 Photography: 7/10 Personal Opinion: 18/20 Total: 88/100
Thank you very much. Seeing how it was technical difficulties that gave me trouble the first time and I've got it fixed, meeting the next deadline shouldn't be a problem.

Quoting Space Gypsy . I won't judge it yet. I'll speak with Paddy to see if this entry is valid. It's very good, though.
Thank you on both counts.

Quoting Mh{ I hope they accept your entry as yours truly deserves it. And boy what a nice, innocent, outrageously armed that airship is. Good luck!
You and me both. But don't tell me, tell the judges... I like to think of it not so much as "outrageously armed" as "well prepared"... Thank you for the compliments.
