Mother of mercy! R2 Astromech Droids by Cyberdine Systems!

The initial design had everything in one level if you've seen the WIP pics and I took a bit of a gamble on rebuilding half of the structure to place the rotating R2s. The tricky part was to connect the lower level of the conveyor belt and up to the second level. Looks like the hard work paid off! The greebling is a bit more restrained so as not to complicate the overall look. I wanted to have a purpose for each phase of the assembly shown without overdoing it. Footprint is a large baseplate with a stud or so overhang in some places and kept the simplified overall look. Thumbs up for noticing the purpose of the white gloves. Nine 3PO's and about 20 R2's. He always wanted to have a chance of tearing down R2! Well, if this is in reverse order.

The mix of dark/light gray/bley with black was to depict the monotonous atmosphere inside the factory.

I just have one word for that: Epic! Great Job! :-))

I really like this. I loved following the path of the R2's. You did a great job showing each phase of the droids being built. Every detail is fantastic, like how you put white gloves on 3PO droids. Cant have any dirt on those gleaming white domed trashcans... LOL. Awesome parts usage. Really cool idea and realization. ~cheers
