Set review 9469, Gandalf Arrives
Yo Yo! This is my first set review on the site, being a review on the set, "Gandalf Arrives." I hope this review helps to know if you should by this or not, so just sit back and read!
About this creation

First, I'll talk about the cart and horse.

The new horse design is very nice. Instead of just moving his head back and forth, he can actually rear up on his hind legs! And he is surprisingly stable while doing that. Maybe it's the tail......

I love how the minifigure fit right in the horse. I think I'll use the horse as a brown version of Shadowfax.

The cart design itself is really well-thought out, and it is fairly easy to build. The only thing I didn't like about it is that when you remove the horse, the cart kinda' catapults and all of the accessories go flying.

Ah, the accessories. LEGO always made the best. The accessories include a carrot to feed the horse, a letter (maybe addressed to Bilbo), The book that you see Frodo reading under the tree, and of course, the fireworks for Bilbo's birthday.

The fireworks. There is a yellow one, a green one, and if you remember the scene in the movie, the dragon firework that Pippin and Merry set off. LEGO put that snake thingy to use, finally.

And now, the best part, the minifigures. The best part of every set. These minifigures are amazing.

First, the Gandalf figure. He is amazingly accurate. I really like the new beard piece LEGO made for him.

And now, the Frodo minifigure. He is also very detailed, and I love the new hobbit hair-piece. My mom's description of him was, "incredibly cute."

And now some pictures that I tried to take that look like the pictures on the back of the box.

Overall, I give this set a five star rating. The cart is incredible, the new horse is awesome, the minifigures are amazing, this set is overall incredibly awesome and worth it's price (which by the way is 12.99$, a very nice price). I recommend you buy this to start any LOTR collections.

Nice review. The letter is actually addressed to Harry Potter, however. LEGO just re-used the piece, but you can see "Harry" written on it. ;)
