King Leo's Summer Palace
Unglazed windows and a rather open spire design draw cool breezes throughout this expansive edifice, making it a favorite summer dwelling of King Leo's.
About this creation

In the days before it was illegal to hunt dinosaurs for their tails, yet somehow robbing the Statue of Liberty of it's gorgeous green patinated copper in an unexplained time warp, King Leo has ordered the completion of this estate. Unglazed windows and a rather open spire design draw cool breezes throughout this expansive edifice, making it a favorite summer dwelling of King Leo's.

Quoting Tim C Have you been working on this masterpiece since then?
Thanks Tim - actually I built the palace right after the castle to send to Legoland with the Sealug group about ten years ago. I couldn't send the castle because of the paint! I ran out of time before the convention and made a simple squared off central tower, adding the oval construction after it came back home. Lots of ideas and starts - will post more as I finish them!

Wow! Simply amazing. Just noticed your other MOC only minutes ago and see that you took a long break from posting. Have you been working on this masterpiece since then? If so, it was well worth it. I love all the textures that you achieved here and your use of the underside of your plates is about the most creative I've seen to date. I also love your color usage here. Those colors are rarely used outside of official LEGO designs, but you put them to good use. Well done again.

Interresting construction. It looks like an exercise in using ood bit and pieces in off colours. Nevertheless the finished result is quite spectacular!
