The Wild Karrde
About this creation

Flagship of Talon Karrde's smuggling fleet, the Wild Karrde is a 125 meter long modified CEC Action VI transport. I've always wanted to build this ship out of LEGO, and I finally got around to building a micro-scale version of it. Perhaps someday I'll create a six foot long minifig scale version... Anyway, at about 58 studs long this isn't the largest MOC I've ever made, but it is likely the most complex. Also, it's my favourite, as seeing a LEGO Wild Karrde sitting around in my room is just so cool! I tried to make it as accurate as possible, however I used several different sources so there may be some aspects that are taken from one source that don't match another source. All-in-all I think that it captures the Wild Karrde pretty well though.

The side. The long bar on the top is living quarters.

Another view, you can see the engines.

The bridge overlooks the living quarters.

The dark bley bit that sticks out from the top of the angled frontal plate is a communications antenna.

My favourite shot, demonstrating the light-up engines.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks! I was a little unsure as well, I guess it's up for interpretation for now.

Quoting Matt Mason I recognise the shape very much so, but I always imagined the ship with a light grey hull. I thought it was a bit longer too, but you did a great job on this nonetheless.
Thanks, I think that it should be a little longer too. I think some older sources have it with a grey hull, but it was revised in the new essential guide to vehicles and vessels and in some merchandise.

Quoting Stuart Delahay Loving the splashes of dark orange throughout the brown for that worn/ rusted look - I've always loved the slightly dirty and lived-in feel of the SW universe, Alien, Blade Runner, etc. Really nice shaping, and the light-up engines are twin cherries on the cake. Great job!
Thanks; I agree about the lived in feel, I prefer it to the sterile depictions in some futuristic interpretations.

Quoting Senator Chinchilla . Very interesting design, I like the engines and the bridge. The living space is strangely placed, but I don't now much about space-tactics. =) Great work on the angles, too!

Quoting Tim C Absolutely beautiful build here, Luke. Don't see very many brown spaceships, but you made the color work here. The shaping is unique and I love the middle section. The light-up boosters is an excellent touch. I enjoy making stands for my ships, and this one is one of the best I've seen, especially the use of the trans-clear pieces in there. Well done, sir.
Thanks, I'm glad that you like the stand. I wasn't sure how well it would work, due to it's large size and grey/trans-black colouration.

I don't know if I'll be building any more of the fleet. I think the majority of it is made up of Action VIs like this one, but I might try my hand at Talon Karrde's private yacht the Uwana Buyer someday.
