Built May 2012.
About this creation
Well, I finally got around to posting this. It's been complete for a few months now, but I didn't upload it because I didn't have a really big background. This model was just built for fun - no references. One day I built the dark grey forward grip and I thought that it looked like it could be part of a DMR. The rest was history...

The gun's fairly large - about 2 1/2 feet from barrel to butt.

The trigger is attached to a LEGO rubber band, so it returns to it's designated place right after it's pulled (unless it's held down).

This shot was a little tricky, as I had to focus on Master Chief, then move the camera lens inside the scope.

You have to pull down on the elliptical lever to unlock the magazine. Then you pull it out. When you put it back in, you pull the lever, push the magazine in, then it locks itself into place.

Simple, yet effective magazine that holds 24 rounds.

1st person view.

This DMR/BR took about 4 days to build. I think it turned out pretty well, but next time, I'm going to make something that's actually from Halo, not just from my imagination. Like, oh let's say... ...the Halo 4 handheld Rail Gun...

A master class in Halo weapons. I like the build as well as the first person view. It would be cool to see the Halo HUD editted into the image. |

Great sculpting and I'm glad to see you creating something new (from your imagination), sometimes those can be the best projects. ~Dave |

quick Q. on your home page are you the kid or the grown up because if you are the kid i'm baffeld by your skill.
Yes, I am the "kid." The adults are LEGOLAND California's resident Master Builders Gary and Ryan.

Nicely done, the shaping is excellent and the features are clever. I'm surprised that this only took four days, are you homeschooled?
Actually, I am. I go to a charter school, so I still have about the same amount of free time as someone in public school.

wow does it shoot. if it does it is even awesomer.
A LOT of people ask that about LEGO guns, but I've never made my guns shoot anything. Why? Well, I just think that unless it shoots something as fast an airsoft BB, it really doesn't add much to the model.
