The Mars Science Laboratory Rover, Curiosity. Landing on Mars August 2012 to investigate its habitability.
About this creation
This is a model of the Mars Science Laboratory rover, named Curiosity. It is currently on its way to investigate the past and current habitability of Mars. This model has a fully articulated arm, deployable mast, and a working rocker-bogie suspension system that allows the rover to climb over large rocks and keep all six of its wheels on the ground. It is an excellten educational outreach tool and is incredibly fun to play with.
The Curiosity Rover has also been submitted to LEGO CUUSOO. Feel free to support it if you would like to see it become an official LEGO set.
A Lego Digital Designer is also available below so anyone can make their own rover and learn about this exciting mission!
Very good job replicating the Mars Science Laboratory. Love the different techniques you used. I downloaded the Lego Digital Designer to see how it was built but some of the pieces i've never seen before. And i couldnt find them on Lego Pick a Brick. Just wondering where you ordered the pieces from?
Anyways, Excellent model! Trust me, if i could vote 10,000 times for this model..I would :D
