If you see this Angel, run. Well actually whats the point of running from something that can hop planets? You died...
About this creation
This is the A2-001 Avalon Angel. The Avalon Angel was created when the Mecha Engineers at UMAC were given the frame of a broken enemy mech. It was considerably damaged, but the Engineers took up the work immediately, and tried to fix it. They found a fatal flaw in the design, which had led this mech to its destruction. It had no shielding, and was made entirely of Beta-grade ion-steel. Alpha-grade ion-steel is the necessary building material when working with mechs, so the project manager tried to give up on the project. The Engineers decided to try a new method of creating a sort of ion-steel. They took unprocessed ion-steel, and melted it in the same mold as a batch of Biluminite crystals, which have an anti-magnetic effect on all projectiles within 5 meters of them. This new ion-steel was called Omega-grade ion-alloy, and was used to construct a mecha frame identical to one that had been received.

The first test with the mecha frame proved to be a failure, as the cockpit was too exposed. However, when the Engineers checked the placement of the cockpit, they decided that it was in the safest possible position, but since this mecha was meant to move at extreme speeds, the mecha couldn't provide power to both the boosters and the shields.

Then the Engineers had a breakthrough. Biluminite. If it could be used in a gun to stop shrapnel from lodging in the barrel, and in a riot shield to stop rocks, then what else could it be used for? Shielding on a mecha, of course! Biluminite was a rock, requiring no energy to power its protective effects.

The Engineers set up a few Biluminite processing factories, but were surprised when the Biluminite that was refined turned transparent blue, and its repulsing methods did nothing to stop the Omega-grade ion-alloy that it was placed on.

Then the Engineers took four tank cannons, and put them on the arm of the frame. The guns functioned properly, and shot Biluminite shards at the enemy. Biluminite shards will rip apart a small mech, cripple a medium mech, and substantially hurt a big mech.

The Avalon Angel is made to take on enemy bases, riots, and small to medium mechs. A few of them could destroy a big mech too, but not without losing someone. The mechs cost too much to mass produce. Only a few hundred of them exist at all.

The last part, which is probably the most important. The JumpBoosts. JumpBoosts are like miniature warp drives, and can propel a mech in the direction they are facing. This was first discovered and used on the ArchAngel, the predecessor of the Avalon Angel. The ArchAngel had two such JumpBoosts on its back, giving it the appearance of an angel. The Avalon Angel has four such JumpBoosts on its back, allowing for better control and accuracy of the jumps.

That was my first posted MOC and Mech ever hope you enjoyed!
P.S. The instruction folder is called Snow Gremlin because i thought to name it that.
P.P.S. This is my entry to Chris Roach's Contest, so it's using his basic frame.
P.P.P.S. I made some revisions because i noticed that it had too many changes done to it.
here are the revised photos.

7.5/10 I like the design of the winds quite a bit, but the color makes it hard to see any fine details against the background. The moc lacks in other areas like exposed areas of the chassis, and weapons |

If this is your first ever mech I'm impressed! It's a lot better than the first MOC I posted on MOCpages. You've clearly put a lot of thought into this! In some of the pictures, it's hard to see what's what because of the all white design on a white background. Also, the feet are probably too small for it to be stable in bricks. Score = 7.5 |

7/10. Love the wings and weapons - just wish it was a bit more colorful - as it is an "Angel", some metalic gold or silver might have been nice.
Um actually, blue is the color of divinity, hence the blue Biluminite. The white is there because that is the color I think of when I think "angel" (I don't think of angels often, im atheist). And I never make my mechs have more than 2 colors, (not counting the frame or pilot) so that is the color thing. |

Re: Mech Factory Contest! pls note where you made changes to the frame in your description. at first glance i count more than 10 brick changes for shoulder and leg joints so... although this is a really cool build it may get disqualified for my contest! I will examine the file further to confirm. |
