One quick post before I get back to the hell I call building my bio Cup Entry. This one was created last summer and was showed at brickcon 2011 but somehow never made it to the pages. So here it is. A giant test moc build by me seeing if I am able to build a larger scale. I think it worked. Anyway Gringat gave it the accurate nickname of Fire Rancor.
Feet. He had some stability issues but I came up with one of my all time favourite designs. I added a rubber tire to keep his feed from slipping and he stands great!
Lower legs. I tried to use no balljoint pieces. Just limbs and things with ball joints.
more of the legs.
Base of the tail.
Main part of the tail.
End of the tail.
Upper arm. Not to proud of this.
A shot of the spines
I love this spine design.
From the top.
His mighty head.
Just some shots of his head.
He has a facial hair!
Again the feet.
A little comparison.
And one final shot to finish it off.
Well I have been meaning to post this for a very long time and this was really an experiment. Testing out new techniques like using HF when it was new, a new studio and this was shot using and iPhone camera instead of my usual DSLR. I think some things worked on this like the feet and the head but I think there is tons of room for improvement. The legs and arms are really poor and the tails is just a crime. Overall I hoped you enjoyed and now a word from me and some friends.

I've gotta say, it doesn't really look like an ogre. No ogre I've seen has a look like that. They don't have Godzilla style spikes, clawed feet, or an animal-like body. That aside, it looks pretty good. But the neck is too thin, and too high up on the head. As for the arms, the darker red doesn't match up with the standard red used on the rest of the MOC. As for the legs, they look fine, actually pretty good, but the feet are far too small. Not much surface area and they don't match up with the titanic figure of the rest of the MOC.
Great job Phos, this is just amazing. Better than I can hope to achieve in my building! Chaotic arrangement is eye-catching and threatening, and those fingers, oh dem fingers, dey is wonderful! And the face of monstrous moc-icity, made from Malum Claws, that gets a great, big, Me Gusta.
This is a very epic moc! The overall design is quite unique and interesting, but it hurts my eyes a bit trying to look at every little detail, lol. The spikes along the spine remind me of Godzilla, oh which I think is cool! As far as the head is concerned, it was a bit hard to make out the entirety of the details, but I did and I must say it is impressive. Keep up the good work!
