Dolphin
About this creation
Here is another animal creation! I am getting quite addicted to making animals just as MortalSwordsman said. "Be careful these types of creations can be quite addictive." They are just so much fun! At first it was just a dolphin, jumping out of the water, then my dad had a great idea. To make the dolphin jump through a hoop! So that is what I did. Special thanks to Dad, Nathan Oh , Christopher Baldacci , Max Pointner , and Ian Spacek for giving me advice! Thanks! Flick through and most important, Enjoy!

I will now let most of the pictures speak for themselves, although I will say something every now and then.

Waves made from the splashes. I quite like them! I hope you do to!

One of my favorite pictures

Another favorite picture. I was experimenting with iPhoto, and tried to create this picture, which is the dolphin going through the hoop in a fog.

Nathan helped my on how to make these too Quidditch Match pieces to connect, while looking good. I think he did a great job, don't you?!!!

And finally, the explosion.

Don't forget to rate, comment, and SUGGEST!

SOLI DEO GLORIA!

-Matthew-

What an amazing dolphin, although I would recommend adding some white pieces to the dolphin's belly.

Am I really the first to say this? Deus hasn't commented yet? Very well - this build is incredibly overrated. Decent, yes. Good, perhaps. But not even close to worthy of the 120+ that it has.

Fantastic moc, brilliant all around! One thing you could have done would be to add more cheese slopes on the upper part of the body, but still, amazing work. Congrats on MOTD! :D

Your Dad had a great idea the addition of the hoop gave this MOC an added edge---it brought it to life as did your water! Your execution of the dolphin is wonderful it's like you were at "SEA WORLD" in Orlando and captured the moment on film! Your father's participation in this show how LEGO can bring families together and even us "old" folks enjoy LEGO!

Amazing Matthew! The hoop is a nice idea but I would have liked to have seen a photo without it so it looks like it's in the wild. Also a little work is needed where the tail meets the body the slope looks a little bit harsh, try using a 3 long slope instead of the 2 long at the top of the tail to make the slope look more organic. Hope this makes sense, it is a great creation and I really like it, but it could be improved upon ;-)
