Lunch atop a Skyscraper
I have finally gotten around to posting another of my MOC in the series of "Famous Paintings and Photographs." This black and white photograph was taken by Charles C. Ebbets during construction of the RCA Building (renamed the GE Building in 1986) at Rockefeller Center in New York City, United States. I'm sure you all recognize it. Enjoy!
About this creation

This might be the last of the series. But I'm still willing to accept suggestions for a painting to recreate!

once again it takes a good collection of figs to get them accurate, but, past that, the forced perspective effect shines on this piece, I wonder if it would nt have looked better with a darker baseplate.

Hmm i thought i commented on this already.. Oh well :-) Well done! I agree the forced perspective works great. The characters chosen looks quite accurate too and the whole picture is indeed very recognizable. Great work!

Quoting Tim C Immediately recognizable. This is one of those iconic images the touches the heart of every American, and your portrayal of it in ABS does it every bit of justice. Thanks for this, and very well done.
I really appreciate your kind comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. -LB Senior

Quoting Brody Allen Good photography to put the background a little out of focus to add to the FP. Similar to my Rio MOC.
Thanks, and with a little help from photoshop. ;) -LB Senior

Quoting Quad ????? Try doing something by MC Escher. :)
Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. Though his paintings might be rather difficult to recreate.
Quoting daevster ! Great forced-perspective!
Quoting Mr. Xenomurphy A really nice recreation of a classic. The forced perspective works very well here.
Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. This was my first attempt at forced perspective, and I'm glad it turned out decent enough. -LB Senior

Quoting George Staples I like the forced perspective. I think the guy with the tie looks a bit out of place with the construction workers tho.
Yes, I know what you mean. I agree. I was running out of minifigure construction parts and I didn't want to borrow any from my sister. -LB Senior
