Fun at the Beach
Summer is a time for fun. What better way to have fun then to go to the beach? Here at this beach scene, kids cool off in the water as their parents lay in the hot sun.
About this creation
First, some views of the whole scene. It takes up three baseplates and is 32x48 studs.

Side View.

Back View.

Other side view.

Front View view.

And a view from above.

A view of the beach and water.

A kid plays in the water.

A boy tosses a ball to a girl.

Another view of the water and beachgoers. Notice that as the sand gets closer to the water, it first gets smoother (tiled) and then as it gets wet it becomes the darker shade of dark tan.

Another view from behind the water. Notice the sand sculpting. This part needed a lot more parts than I expected, even though the sand's highest point is only 4 plates high. I do not have an abnormal supply of tan, so beneath the tan visible on the surface, the interior of the MOC is filled with yellow and red.

View of a man walking down the beach toward the boardwalk leading away. He leaves footprints in the sand.

A boy digs in the sand. His toy truck lays nearby. Recognize it from another of my MOCs?

Two people lay on beach blankets while an umbrella does nothing to protect them from the hot sun.

A boy sits, buried in the sand.

A child's abandoned sand castle.

And now, a view of the boardwalk. It ends at the walkway leading away from the beach. A few small plants grow by the boardwalk.

A view of the palm tree, built with some small barrels and round 2x2s.

Some of the rockwork.

A close up on some of the angled boards, which make the boardwalk seem old and well-used.

Above view of the boardwalk.

One last view of the beach from the perspective of a person on the pathway leading away. You can see the sand sloping down.

Feedback is welcome.

Quoting Commander Vargus incredible. its a little hard to notice the footprints though.
Thanks. That was actually intended just as a subtle detail. It's more noticeable in real life.
