Hey all,
I've been very busy with soccer and other stuff lately so I haven't been able to build much. I did however, find the time to make this for the Lego LOTR contest I saw in the Lego magazine. The challenge was to make a part from one of the three Lord of the Rings movies. For my entry, I made Anarion, one of the three statues of the Kings. I chose this moment out of all the movies, because of the feeling of awe I got from it. The sheer size and scale of him as the band rowed past, really inspired me. I hope I will be able to be more active these coming months :D

Of course the statue is sheer brilliance, but the green water is a subtle artistic addition that really puts this MOC over the top. Great job! |

Gorgeous work on that draping sleeve, your tone for the water is very good too at the shoreline, it gives the impression of a large shadow created by the cliffs. Good luck with the comp! ~Thoy |

Totally epic! It's great to see another creation from you, LOTR what's more! All of the details of the statue are very impressive. I like your choice of green (as opposed to stereotypical blue) for the water as well. I had to do a few double takes. At first glance I wasn't sure if the boats were micro-scale or mini-fig size. |
