You gotta love that wolfman fig from the new monster fighters set. My second favourite minifig of all time.

All sorts of nifty details in this set! I like the bed placement, subtle, but effective for showing those fangs. And poor grandma's wig on the post... The randomized color work is interesting, too, after all, it is a cottage. Nicely done!

Great work, Leda. Love the work on the house. You used those new brick...um, brick-like, or bricky bricks? Yeah, bricky bricks, I like that. You used those new bricky bricks very well. More nice work on the bed. These whimsical rooms are becoming something of a signature style for you.

To everybody: I must apologise for not being as active on mocpages lately as I have been in the past with regards to looking and commenting on people's mocs. I admit I am finding it too all consuming as I just have so many favourite builders out there to keep my eyes permanently fixed to the computer screen in order to look at everybody's creations and give them the attention they deserve, so unfortunately I have had to ignore a lot of new builds. It also amazes me, just how many people have said in this moc how it is recognisably "Leda" style and that they knew it was my moc just from the thumbnail. Thanks all for knowing me so much that I am recognisable to you! Wow, it makes me feel bad that I don't always return the favour. I don't plan to build in any one style, its just how it comes out. Its like I replied to Dennis, its the use of those cartoony colours changes up the feel of a build from realism to a kind of 3D animation type thing. It is also the lack of mimicking real life. I am too lazy to try copy reality so I just build from my warped mind. That is why nothing ever looks real and there is no accuracy in architecture or design. I think what I'm striving to achieve (not there yet) is that claymation feel... turning brick into plasticine is my goal. Thanks for all your support guys, I really appreciate it, and please know that even though I don't reply to all comments I read and often re-read every single one.

Quoting Mr. Xenomurphy As small as it might be (or not, depending on the collection size), it has style - your style, Leda. That is even more amazing than superb details like the crack in the wall behind the rain water downpipe or the bed (with which I fall in love instantly). When I for example paint or draw, I know exactly my style or a style that I copy in order to archive a certain look. But when I build, I can't tell if I'm building in a recognisable style. You do, Leda, and that is fantastic.
Thanks Thor, I love how you take the time to really look at the details of my mocs. It continually amazes me that you always mention in your comments a detail or two that I never imagined anybody would see. Thanks for taking the time.

I agree with Dennis, though I'm not the best example of someone who dabbles evenly across all sizes. Lego is a brilliant way to unwind after a long hard day, and with your skill - why wouldn't you want to build a crisp little vig :) Nice work as always! ~Thoy

Thanks mate. I went home after that angry day I had on Tuesday and built this moc and I've been un-angry ever since! Lego really is good therapy huh. Next castle you build put those blue Toy Story windows on it, you'll find instantly it cartoonises your moc and all of a sudden more colour begins to creep in. The first time I used them was on my Snow White moc and it dictated the style of house I built and has ultimately changed the style of my builds ever since.

"Why do I have to do better? Its not for a contest. Why can't I just spend an evening building a sweet little vig? I don't think every build needs to top the last in size, detail and skill. Building with Lego is not just about making amazing builds that blow people away, its about having fun tinkering with a hobby we enjoy." My friend, that sums up our view beautifully. I love the use of color here (nice work with the new textured bricks, totally stealing that eventually) and THEY GLOW! Just a very fun model and I love the use of those blue window shuttery/pane things -- I have some of those too, but I'm always afraid to play with color because, well, I don't have the eye for it. Oh well, life goes on. The humor here really sells it, but the cottage itself is a bang-up job as well (pardon me, but after two weeks of the Olympics I think I'm pseudo-British. Get me a cup of tea, will you, my dear?) Ok, nevermind. Lovely build and all that rot ...
