TVR Cerbera Speed 12 fail (HELP!)
TVR Cerbera Speed 12 fail HELP!!! Any help on how to make the front would be really appreciated, from what I recall when making this model, I was on a shortage of parts... This model has been broken up, I did have good quality pictures without blue slippers in the background, but I deleted them without thinking... I think the rest of the car shows a good representation of the real car, its just a shame I broke it up...
About this creation
Apologies for the poor quality pictures, I took them on a psp...
Please let me know if you know a good way to make the front.

Quoting Justin M Harry, I believe you've been adding your impressive car creations to the Fellowship of the Brick. I'm afraid you’re only allowed to add 'Lord of the Rings' creations to the group. Thanks for understanding. ~Justin.
Sorry ;) I shall remove them :)

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Looking great so far, shame it is now in pieces. The front is going to be tough but I bet you can do it in a similar style to your Ultima Can Am. Good luck
Thanks :) I am thinking very hard about this one! :) Maybe I could incorperate the bonnet duct into the front of it... I see what you mean though, they do look quite similar in a weird way :)

Quoting LissAngelM ... A pity you have destroyed this. I tend to prototype my stuff in LDD due to somewhat limited parts.
I hope to re-build it soon though, so this may not be the last you see of it ;)

Quoting Lego Builders (not rating as this is a WIP) Hey, this isn't too bad. I think the rear and side is very well replicated, especially considering the scale. I agree with Dan - just keep trying until you find a way that is satisfactory. Maybe you could start building the front first so you have the maximum amount of parts at your disposal; the front is most important; I build all my cars starting with the front. Also I would suggest that you study the real car for a long time before you start building. I have a photographic memory so I can remember exactly what a car looks like from (basically) every angle. This helps so when I'm in the car on long trips I just imagine how to replicate the car. I typically start with the front and then I try to figure out in my mind how to build the next most difficult area to make, which usually is the rear. You might not have a photographic memory so if you don't you can just print out pictures and study it that way. Using this method I have built every single one of my cars in my mind before I build it in real bricks. I typically start doing this a month or more before I start building (sometimes 3+ months - it depends on how hard the car is to build), but as you are entering this into Dan's contest (am I right?) you won't have enough time to build everything in your mind beforehand. Maybe just the front. I have found this method very useful. It might help you too. ;-) Good luck. -LB Jr.
Thanks :) I always seem to build the back first :/ I suppose I should have thought about it before making... I started building my Porsche 906 Carrera 6 at the front, and that is my most popular model! My lego is currently packed away though, and I go back to school on wednesday :/ I need to really think about this one! I think, if I get my lego out at some point next week, I might just have enough time to re-build it and enter it to dan the man's contest... Thanks LB :)

Quoting Dan the Man Interesting to see a smaller one of these! It's much harder to put in lots of detail on a smaller model (though always possible, seeing some of the amazing creations out there). The Speed 12 is a very hard car to make - curves and slots everywhere, it was hard enough making it on a large scale. You've done a good job of it so far. You may want to look at mine, see if you can build the front using similar pieces, just less of them of course. The only way you'll get there is by trying. Every time I start a model, at the very beginning, it just seems daunting. I have an image in my head, and the thought of 'no way will I manage to make this...' Yet, each time, it works out just fine in the end. I just build up as I go along, try different things until I like the look of it, and I suggest you have a go as well - you might surprise yourself :) - Dan
Thanks :) I always find I have a great idea of a model to make, and I get all the way through, until the front, where I am stuck clueless of what to do! :) I have thought about the way you made the front on your car, you have made it more like a shell then sticking bricks onto whats already there, maybe I shouldn't use those ferrari f430 fenders...? I am definately going to try again with this model, this will be my third attempt!! ;) Lets just see what I can come up with... Thanks
