Previously on The Cult: The recruit has led the team to what was supposed to be a large factory, but is actually a secret base run by black ops units.
About this creation
Black Ops 1: I don't know what you're doing here, but please, don't try to resist.
The group was directed to give up their weapons, and after considering their surroundings, they complied.
Black Ops 1: Don't try to resist; our weaponry and training are far superior to yours.
Dane looked suspiciously in the recruit's direction.
Glen: Who is he...
Black Ops 1: You, in front. Come here.
Black Ops 1: David, take them away.
Dane: Where are we?
Jensen: They knocked us all out before bringing us here. None of us are sure.
Black Ops 1: We need to discuss some things. Keep your voices down, though.
Glen: We're not with the Path, if that's what you're wondering. We were brought here, accidentally.
Black Ops 1: You don't know?
Black Ops 1: It's the government. It's not what it seems to be. It's working with the Path specifically to bring in members of Project IRONHIDE.
Glen: That's all of us!
Black Ops 1: Exactly. Part of IRONHIDE involved engraining small objects into many of the subjects' skulls.
Black Ops 1: The government wanted to hide them. I am not sure why they did this when the Path still had so little power, but it was fairly brilliant...until the Shining Path found out.
Glen: So the government is fighting against us?
Black Ops 1: It appears so. I think there is still more to this situation than meets the eye. But I'll need help to dig deeper. Not many people are willing to rebel against the government; but I will. The person who led you here is the same.
Glen: He brought us here?
Black Ops 1: Yes. I needed to talk to you and this was the easiest way. There is already an anti-government organization being formed. It is extremely secretive, and very few are allowed in. While we uncover what is going on we will keep you protected and safe. You're some of the few people augmented in Project IRONHIDE who are still alive.
Glen: How many objects are there?
Black Ops 1: We don't know; most guesses are between 10 and 50, out of around 200 total supersoldiers. But right now you need to be escorted to safer places. Let's go.

I really like this, but I'm wondering if we could see some more dramatic storytelling angles? Overhead is cool, but readers might like to see other views. ~Dave
Thanks for the tip! I never even thought about that. Unfortunately the remaining episodes in this chapter have been taken using similar views, so there's not much room for improvement until Chapter 2. Thanks for the tip!
