This is a Lego Generation 1 Transformer Wheeljack - a race car with mini figure scale and it is fully transformable into robot type.
About this creation

Here is a Wheeljack with final modification. I have tried to imitate the shape of the vehicle mode of the original toy, and it looks much closer to the original in compare with its initial version. This curve shape windscreen is specifically suitable for Wheeljack. The overall transformation is same as the original toy, although that toy looks a bit chunky in robot mode but I have been working hard to adjust the shape of the 2 modes. The width is about 7 stud wide but some area are not exactly. The front of the vehicle has some sort of air intake or cooler things.

Rear spoiler is at the back and see the twin exhaust pipe at the bottom of the car. The purpose of the race car is only to pursuit high speed and it should maintain as lighter weight as possible. Hence, all extra accessory such as rear view mirrors, front head lights, break and indicator lights are become unnecessary.

Front cover is open and you can see the engine.

It uses top open way instead of the side open of a normal car door. It is the same way as the original toy.

1 driver can be fitted inside only. There is a steering wheel inside the interior.

The base view and no free space area inside. See the way of the exhaust pipe connection.

Missiles are installed on the top.

"All for speeding" vehicles.

Start to transform!

First, to detach the side panels and open the rear spoiler part.

Then pull out the 2 sides of the back and those will become the robot arms.

The robot head starts to turn out, and the arms are getting out further.

Then pull the extendable waist out for about 2 stud length. There is a picture showing the sliding mechanism at the end of this page.

Further, to do the legs transformation.

Finally, to do the forearms and the hands.

The arms need to be push back in a little bit toward the torso, just to make the robot shape looks better. The side panels previously took off are to be put back to the back side of the robot.

Transformation completed.

Get the idea of the arms transformation mechanism?

See the sliding system of the waist extension.

Thank you for watching it!

Coming soon - Decepticon Megatron. Just need a bit more time to order the specific colour bricks.

My creations tend to be very fragile as well, I don't see it as much of an issue, but a lot of other people have complained about it :p |

Thank you to all of you. However, some areas of this Moc are very fragile and I have to be careful when doing the transformation, it's is one of the big weakness of my Moc. |
