Mocoff - David Vs. Reynolds - House
So, started as a table scrap, then went to this! :D
About this creation
Built for my Mocoff with Reynolds.
Link to my opponent, and his wonderful entry.
Enjoy!

Front of the cottage.

The door, with the well-used pathway.

Back of the cottage. I used the well known brick technique, which is on a lot of other mocs. (Not mine though) I really like it :3

Close-up of the bricks. I had to use grills because I was running out of actual tiles.

An ice-cream smoke-stack coming out of the chimney. I really like this too.

The chimney.

The side of the house. I got the idea for the window from the Mideval market set. :) Like it?

Half of his "yard" with a chicken. :)

The other side of the "yard".

A better shot of the pathway.

And the roof...

Which comes off... :3

A painting to remind him of his old life on the seas.

Wine, bread and cheese. What more could you ask for in life? Oh, and a stool.

A very plain wall...

Over-view.

The fireplace. The photo doesn't match the others as it's a bit bright, but You can still see the fire-place can't you?

Putting the roof back on....

Done...

Good-bye! I only thought of having my mideval sig-fig live in the house when it was too late... Maybe I can make him a mansion or something....
Thanks For Looking! Hope You Enjoyed!

P.S. Sorry about the dark photos, I was just testing out some settings on my sisters camera. :)

EDIT

This reached the home-page sometime last night. Thanks to whoever helped get it there!

Quoting Lemming the Builder Dude (formerly the Sith) I see the old guy has a secret starfighter hangar underneath his humble cottage, accessible by the control panel on his fireplace! Very sneaky, but you can't fool me!.....Sorry.That was really random..... I like the cottage. It looks very cozy, but a little small for my tastes.
Thanks! And how did you know about his... Nevermind. ;)

Quoting Jared . Brilliant build! Personally, minus the port, and plus a nice book or two, that would be all you need.
True, but he's a former sailor, and can't read. :) So he just sticks with the port. :D Thanks!

Firstly your creativity is amazing, I haven't seen much like this before, but I thought that the back technique has been a bit overused. 8/10. I would have liked to seen your own technique there but your other techniques were very nicely done. 4/5. Your photographic techniques were amazing the first picture had me sold 4/4. Lastly you were on topic. 1/1. Total 17/20.

Nice, but the only thing I would do is to tile the studs on the roof. Still, looking very nice. ;)
