Glomshire Knights #365-372
Now with an extra-special author's note, just for MOCpages!
About this creation

And now, for the aforementioned "extra-special author's note," which really isn't that special at all: I haven't spent much time on MOCpages in recent months, and I probably won't again for quite some time, mainly because I'm extremely tired of certain individuals and groups of people who think, just because they are "good builders," that they have some god-granted right to be snide, obnoxious jerks when commenting on models. Truly bad form from people claiming to want to help others improve. For the record, it's pretty obvious from what I build (and this comic) that I really don't care to improve -- I want to have fun with my hobby and no advice is going change that. I'm not doing this to impress, I do this to make me laugh -- and hopefully you, too.

But mostly me.

Even worse than those cretins that claim superiority over us all when it comes to putting pieces of plastic together are those who whine and complain about contests and competitions that people host here on the 'pages. It happens every time, and I'm surprised anyone would ever want to host one of those things. There's always someone who claims that the games and contests are rigged and that the true winners are either themselves or their friends -- or that they are slanted in favor of the sponsor or judges' friends. Whether these rumors are true or not (and I believe they're not), this sort of sniping and nay-saying is annoying. If you're so awesome that you should win everything you enter, then please just send your address to the contest organizers of EVERYTHING and they'll be sure to get those prizes in the mail. If you think the contest is unfairly tilted in someone else's favor, then don't enter. And if you're unhappy with the results, cry in your milk at home and not in the various group threads.

Glomshire Knights will return with a fresh batch of episodes and weak humor sometime in October. Until then, try the veal.

The 'Fredo' cameo is freakin' hilarious! He exited as fast as he appeared!

I saw this earlier this week, but I didn't have the time to give it the viewing it deserved. Glad I came back. I'm still laughing.

Glomshire Knights - still the best Saturday morning entertainment ever! Thank you, Dennis.

Haha flying Frodo make me laugh. I loved the shot of Midnite drinking in the water. For some reason it just made me grin at how cute it was. I love a good rant, there's little else that can give you calm when you're angry than to have a bloody good rant about what's annoying you. Rant as much as you need Dennis. We all agree with you.

If there was ever a time when Glomshire deserved the ridiculous and abused term "epic," #371 would be it. LMAO, bro! (And I needed a good laugh this morning!) Thanks, Dennis!

Always great to see more Glomshire Knights! Good rant too. It's noteable that none of the REALLY great builders on this site engage in the kind of obnoxious jerkery you're talking about. Roll on October...

That whole hobbit thing made me laugh out loud! Great episodes Dennis! Can't wait for the next batch! Oh... and you're TOTALLY right with your rant. I mean seriously... why would someone bother with a contest at all if all they wanted to do was give the prize to their friend? Heck, I've sent Lego to you (and others) and didn't need an elaborate "scheme" of a contest to make myself feel better. The good news is that for every "one" that complains, there's about 900 that appreciate the hard work that goes into these things. I think that's a good enough ratio for me personally to keep things fun for the whole community... even if there is one or two (who are not psychic mind you) who think there's "favoritism." (bleep) them. The whole is more important than the one naysayer. (bleep) them right in the... Meh, pick an orafice. ~ Chris.

Great to see another episode, I loved the "Fredo" scene. Interesting rant too, I far prefer humour to massive MOCs in a comic like this. October can't come too soon!

And don't forget to spin the landscape set around for them to climb up later. Funny bit with Fredo, right out of Mad Magazine. Good rant, too, couldn't agree more.

'Pant, snort, snicker'...I wonder where you're getting your sound effects from, the men's room at BrickWorld? =) Gil better hope that Fredo guy doesn't come back and leave him a gift in his bed...like Buckeye's head!~H

Always a good chuckle, love the "Boffo Plan". I'm sad to hear we have to wait until October for the next installment, but I will try my best to be patient :)

The momentary 'Fredo" diversion was quite nice. I will accept that landscape in two episodes, but you'd better not have them back on the trail in the next episode. Great work as always.
