Terentatek
A lone warrior discovers an ancient terror in the Sith tombs...
About this creation
This creation is set in the time period of The Old Republic. Enjoy.

An ancient legend tells of a talented Sith craftsman named Kuman. He fabricated the finest lightsabers ever seen. In fact, almost every one of Kuman's weapons is still in use today by the members of the Sith Empire. One in particular, however, has been lost to time: Kuman's personal saber. Consisting of a cortosis hilt and imbued with all of Kuman's dark energies, the saber is said to be one of the most powerful Sith artifacts in existence.

Many have entered the tomb where Kuman was laid to rest, but none have emerged. A powerful and audacious young warrior, Darag, now seeks the prize that has lured so many to their deaths.

The great burial chamber is eerily silent, and his footsteps echo hollowly in his ears as he approaches the sarcophagus.

Darag climbs the stone steps and produces a Sith holocron from his belt: Kuman's holocron. It is the secret to unlocking the stone coffin to obtain its treasures.

When the holocron is placed in the center of the cover, a cloud of dust rises from the seams. The stone cover slides slowly open to reveal the remains of the once wise and powerful Kuman. And clutched in his lifeless hand is his legendary lightsaber.

Darag calls the weapon to his hand with the Force, examining its exquisite craftsmanship. His reverie is interrupted by a subtle change in the chamber's atmosphere. He is no longer alone.

Darag turns to face the new menace, a massive terentatek that has been lurking in the tombs for unknown generations, preying on unsuspecting tomb raiders.

Without warning the terentatek rushes at its quarry, it's mandibular tusks gleaming red in the light of the Saber of Kuman.

Darag leaps over the creatures head--

--only to be plucked from the air midflight. The terentatek slams the Sith warrior into a nearby pillar to unbalance him. Darag knows that the Terentatek's hide is resistant to Force attacks, so he does what any Sith armed with the most powerful lightsaber in the galaxy would do.

With a mighty swing of his arm he hurls his lightsaber at his opponent, empowering it with the Force. The crimson blade hits home, severing the head from the mighty beast.

Darag emerges victorious. He is pleased with his newfound treasure, though to him this was just a small exercise. He can see his destiny stretch out before him, glowing a brilliant red in the light of Kuman's blade. The Jedi will not win this war.

Now some bonus pictures of the Terentatek!

I actually designed the terentatek as part of the Master Builder Academy Kit 5 Creature Design challenge. I've wanted to post it on MOC pages for over a year, but I couldn't figure out what kind of scenery to add. I decided on the tomb, turning more towards props than scenery. I like the effect though. You have to use your imagination, but isn't that part of why we're all here on the Pages?

I HATED the terentatek first time I played KotOR! Yes, I was a lot younger, so it was a lot harder then, but still! Anywho, you pulled this off real well, nice job =)

Nice! The tomb and pillar designs remind me of Korriban, and the Terentatek's brilliant. Great work!
