FDNY Satellite 1
This is my brand new FDNY Satellite 1. It a Mack MR specially build as a support unit when the FDNY needs a huge amount of water. It carries larger and more hoses than a Engine, a huge amount of extinguishing foam and has a very large deck gun. It has no own pump and no water tank. The Satellite unit runs together with an Engine and is stationed together with it in the same Firehouse. I designed a new Mack cab for my model and hope that you like it very much. Used many snot for the cab and the back of the truck. Have fun and thanks for watching :) Comments and ratings very welcome.
About this creation

The Truck has some nice functional features. Full adjustable water cannon, opening compartments. Btw, sadly the compartments are empty. Found no picture of the inside of the compartments. If anyone has a idea, feel free to say it. Will have something inside of the compartments. Thanks for your help ;)

The stripes are made with self adhesive reflective foil. The same like on my Rescue 1 and my two new ambulances.

Here the in every direction adjustable Floodlights.

This is the original Satellite 1. I don't own this picture. It's only as reference for the model.

As a special extra there are some "behind the scenes" pictures

This is my Lego pile search system. The box and the pile in the middle are for the parts which i use/d for the Truck. :)

Working on my table at the decals, there you can see my tools, the self printed decals and some other stuff.

Thanks for watching, rating and commenting ;) Enjoy it

Quoting Bob K It is a nice representation of the Mack MR. For the longest time, I've been leery about all the metallic foil used on your creations. But here, I realize that the minimal amount used actually enhances the truck and does not "make" the truck. I know the look you are trying to get with the front windshield, but the part you are using doesn't work. That whole area under the windshield should be smooth and not have that 1x2 modified slope positioned the way it is. Other than that, the truck is laid out very well with a nice balanced amount of detail.
Thank you very much for your nice comment Bob. I know what you mean with the slope. I wanted to use the modified onbe because in my eyes it looks very good. But youre right, because of this it looks not so smooth. Thanks for the suggestion. At my newest rigs i used very few of the metallic foil because it looks better in my eyes. Nice that you like it. Btw, i'm working on a new FDNY Truck. It's a Seagrave Marauder II Tower Ladder. I think it will finished in January ;)

Quoting Paul McKeever III yeah like the plate after the bumper lights(going forward's toward front) it could come off if i am seeing the part that connected to the truck correctly.
If you mean the first part of the bumper beside the sidesteps, this is no 1x6 plate. These are two 1x1 plates. The bumper is connected with snot at the grey 1x4 plates which you can see at the bumper. I used the red 1x1 plates to close the gap between the bumper and the steps. I'll look if i find another solution for it :)

Yeah, i know buddy. This is not the best solution for this mirror. But had no other parts for it like on my other rigs where i found another solution for it. ;)

Quoting Alex B This is beautiful! It just is Amazing! Such a great engine! I like the grill alot! And the work put into this is Astounding! One thing I do not agree with is that it looks like you bent a piece for the mirror coming of the roof. other than that this is Fantastic! I also think you should try to sort your pieces. ;)
Lol, yes, i should try to sort my pieces. But i love my Lego piles ;) And yes, i bent this one piece for the mirror. I know, it's not the best solution. My other Trucks have another version of this mirror, but i had no parts for it for this Satellite Unit. And the third yes, i'm a AFOL :) So thank you very much for your really kind comment Alex. Glad that you still like this Truck.

Lol, potato..., @TLNA, thank you so much alsof for the idea with the tools in the compartments, never thought on this :), @Jens, hätte auch nicht gedacht, das ich mal soviel Aufwand mit Aufklebern betreibe. Aber bei den vielen Beschriftungen ist es sehr schwer das in Lego darzustellen. Hab vielen Dank für deinen sehr netten Kommentar. Freue ich mich riesig drüber. Thank you all so much guys :)

Quoting dcatch 1 Awesome!!! Can I just ask why is it called a satellite? I guessed it would be comms vehicle!
Thank you very much dcatch1. You can ask ;) No, it's no comms vehicle. It's called Satellite because it is used like a Satellite. Not for communication but for bigger water supply on scene when it's needed. To Pump water it needs the pump of an Engine. So it's like a Satellite around the Engine. I hope you understand what i want to say :)
