Alternate Self-MOC Contest Round 2 Entry
About this creation
Soo, since school started, I have NO time anymore. I start school around 6:30 in the morning, and finish on average about 6 in the evening. My MOCing hours have dropped from 7 possible hours a day to 7 a week. I am also drawing on a MOCing block, it's only in it's beginning stages, but I just can't seem to find inspiration. Well, enough of my complaints. I don't really have time to be doing this, I should be in class, so I'll just say I'm sorry about the bad photos. Issac has covered my light source.

Oh yeah, I'm sorry, I said in my last post that I had another glorified tablescrap on the way. That was blown to bits building this. So, to make up for my broken promise, I have included the picture of both it and some other MOCs I have been working on.

Link to the contest.

The category for round two was make your Self-MOC a titan. I suck at titans. I'm absolutely terrible at making things tall. So, I thought, "Hmm, why don't I make it long?". This is the result. I made a big animal thing that is a combo of both Esh and Aivren. Not my best work, but since it takes no pieces off of the original Esh and Aivren I'm happy.

Side.

Other side.

Pose of sorts.

This I found out halfway through building. He can stand! that makes up for his shortness in animal mode right? Please? No? Oh well, I tried.

Side.

Back.

Action shot of sorts. He is not the easiest to pose.

Comparison to an inika build. I found out when comparing these two that this is the first time I've ever compared any of my builds to an inika.

'Nother comparison.

Now to a comparison to a couple of other MOCs.

Kesef has had some updates. I will be updating his page soon, so check back there in the next few days.

Hey!

Look Terilis! It's a tan mini you! Not really, I didn't start it as your self-MOC, but it ended up looking like him. But, I don't make self-MOCs. I'm sorry. Oh yes, and that head design in Banjax's. I decided to try it out. I think it came out well.

Esh has had some updates too.

Kinda pose!

Both have received some updates, but I am not finished. I will be redoing Esh's lower legs and feet. And maybe a few other things to Aivren. Not sure yet. But I will tell you when I'm going to update there page's pictures.

Comparison to the entry. He is a big'un.

'Nother MOC I've been keeping for a while. I have previewed it a few times, but I don't have time to hide it in the page now. I know a few people have seen this before, but I have changed several details. Look closely.

In classic L.A. style, end shot!

Whelp, that was a fun build. But my time is short. Oh yeah, the glorified tablescrap...

There you go. I wanted to show him to you guys, but I simply needed the parts. Sorry.

Auf Wiedersehen!

I would take some pics of my latest MOCs but our camera is broken but I will try to let you and anyone else see them soon. Oh. I almost forgot could you do one thing for me.... never stop building it is what keeps the imagination alive but don't let it stop you from your other goals as well. Study hard live well keep building and never give up. Sincerely Commander CJ Potter
Thank you. I appreciate your support. Do not be sorry. Time has little meaning to me, I woke this morning quite sure that it was infact Saturday two weeks from now. I hope your camera begins working soon. I don't believe I shall stop building until my time had become but work and school. Thank you for the advice, but remember to listen to it yourself!

An excellent collection of mocs. All very unique, creative and colourful. I love the first one he looks great on two and four legs. Good luck with your MocBlock. Thanks for your recent comment.

I forgot to say this earlier but I think after the changes you made on esh the metru red feet he had before fit better then those orange toa mata feet. Also where it says noon, I meant noob, where it says tedious I meant terilis.

Quoting Commander CJ Potter You must give yourself some credit Gale I have not been on MOCpages very long but I have seen quite a few MOCs but some of them are just not that original you keep originality in your MOCs as well as put a spin on them. you may be "Low on the Totem pole" but in my book you are one of the most talented and humble builders I've ever seen. I hope to see more of your MOCs soon and keep building. I may not get to see all your MOCs you make all the time 'cause I'm preparing to go to 3D animation college. but I'll try my hardest to "Keep Pace" anyway farewell and forgive my endless rambling. Commander CJ Potter
Well... I thank you. I don't really know what to say other than thank you. I don't really feel I deserve any of those compliments, but I appreciate it. I do wish you luck at college. I once thought that I was going to take a road down the 3D animation path, but I believe that computer forensics is my path. I definitely support you in that choice though! Do enjoy it.

Quoting Commander CJ Potter Indeed well that clears up a lot for me I started with Bionicle when I was four or five and I just loved it. You are a very talented builder with a eye for details me I just keep it simple and I make regular sized Toa or (when I have the parts I make Rahi or stuff of that sort nice work and keep building. Commander CJ Potter
I hope it did. Ha, talented, that's a funny joke, if you want talented go look at Chronos, or Oblivious, not me. I started doing Rahi, and that lead me to a number of techniques I use today. Rahi are a great place to start. :) Thanks again.

Quoting Commander CJ Potter Hi you don't know me but I have commented on a number of Potu the Half Toa's creations first I would like to thank you personally very few friends I know would post on their page that they are Christians. I am both a Christian and I am Homeschooled. Now to your MOCs I would first like to point out that your MOCs are quite detailed and complex most of the colors go quite well together the Titan itself is Remarkable at just its height it's bigger than anything I could make your other MOCs you have made are also quite impressive. Although I have one question.. even though I've known Bionicle for most of my life I have noticed many people's MOCs have heartlights I'm not sure I get the idea forgive my ignorance. Anyway MOCS :9/10 creativity: 10/10 and every thing else: 10/10 nice job and keep up the good work... Signed Commander CJ Potter
I am very proud to say I am a Christian. I thank you, but you flatter me. I am no great Bio-builder. I am pretty low on the totem pole as the saying goes. I am unsure honestly why others do it, but I do it in a sort of nostalgia. In the movies, the Bionicles had heartlights. Several years ago I would use lightsaber blades through the bodies of my MOCs as the heartlight. It caught the light pretty well, but I stopped using the design when I found MOCpages and saw the stud technique. I do it a sort of reminder of the old Bionicle. Other's probably do it because to some people, a Bionicle just isn't right without a heartlight. I hope that helps to explain it. I am terrible at explaining things. Thank you though, I'm glad you like this one.

Quoting Toa Likus Not bad. The best parts of this MOC are the front claws and the torso. Those look boss. My only complaints are the random colors, rear inika feet, and head (though the hair looks good!) 3/5
Thanks. I know the colors are bad and back feet and head need a lot of work. I liked the "hair" too. I'm not sure what I intended it to be, but it does look good.

Quoting Lemming the Builder Dude (formerly the Sith) Thank you for writing the majority of your comment in English, I'm only a beginner German student, unfortunately. :( But I'm getting better! :) Anyway, I understand the piece crunch, you did well getting around that. It could be rainbow mode. [shudder]
LOL, me too. I know very little German. But I am learning, and my teacher is rather hard on us lol. Thanks. I don't like building in rainbow, but when necessary I do it.

Quoting toa olympios taylor snowden AWESOME BECAUSE FIRST OFF I LOVE the back it has a crocodile/alligator look, second you took my advice when I honestly thought you would just call me a noon and move on, third cool hordika I would guess its a nokama revamp or movie edition, tiny tan tedious more like tiny tan demon (high pitched, hilarious evil laughter), and lastly cool tablescrap.
Thank you. The only person I would call a loon and move on to would be myself. Actually, I believe I stated who the Hordika is in a lower comment. Yes, a tiny stone demon is what that started out as, but it does just look some much like Terilis lol. Thank you again.

Quoting Terilis the Dark Angel 80.....:D 8.....That...That makes me happy. Teeny tiny tan Terilis. Say that five times fast. The main moc, my only prob is the back. Don't know why, but there is something about it that I don't like... but everything else is amazing, as always. I love the head, as everyone else seems to. I do have a tiny suggestion of the Hordika. I would try to get that rahkshi head to not stick out as much. Spectacular work all around Gale, you are awesome. True story.
Teeny tiny tan Terilis. Teeny tiny tan Terilis. Teeny tiny tan Terilis. Teeny tiny tan Terilis. Teeny tiny tan Terilis.... *wheeze* that was interesting. Hmm, I personally liked the back best. Oh well. Can't please 'em all. Hmm, I'll work on that. Not awesome. I'm just doing what I love.

Quoting Lemming the Builder Dude (formerly the Sith) Guten Tag! This is a nice moc. Better than I could do, so I feel bad criticizing even a minor thing about it, please don't take this wrongly, but the colors seem a little bit mixed up. You know, random. Anyway. But the rest is good, he looks really good standing up. Auf wiedersehen!
Guten Tag! Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Ich bin nur Deutsch lernen. I know it's colorful. I don't like all the colors, but I am in a serious piece crunch. I'm glad you like it despite the color problem. Auf wiedersehen!

Quoting StoveTop Creator That 1st photo reminds me of a certain species of monkey... with a colorful face. I think it's called a mandrill. So, this is certainly a self-MOC of you, in my opinion. You seem to delight in monkey buisiness! :)

Quoting David Alexander Smith Great head. Sometimes limited time focuses the building; with two kids and a busy job, I work to a very similar timeframe, normally a couple of two hour sessions in the week during the evenings and 2-3 hours on either Saturday or Sunday morning.

Quoting L.A. Miranda I love the tan Terilis! You managed to build him as cute as awesome, it's beautiful! <3 About the main MOC, I personally think it's a bit colorful even for a combiner of both self-MOCs, I mean, there're some white parts I don't understand. The torso is strange, but I like it (specially the waist). But the great winner of the night (?) is that beautiful head!! It's hard to make a decent head with that 'mask', and you create a great one! Good luck, my dear!
Hmm, you just reminded me of something. Yes it is colorful. I didn't like that fact, but I have hit a block and my parts are running terribly low. The torso came out unusual because I made it rather flexible. it doesn't show it here, but he could almost curl around and bite his tail, if he had one. I personally hated the head. but, it was the best of 16 different other types of heads I tried building for this guy. I'm glad you like it though. I am glad you like the hordika, but it is not a revamp. It is a story MOC I will put up sometime soon.
  September 6, 2012
Ups, and I forgot about the Nokama Hordika revamp: my favourite ever seen! I specially love the waist, again, but the Hordika arm it's great too.
