Hi Joe! Thank for leaving such a kind message on my moc. I am very fine, my family also, and I sincerely hope you and yours also. It must be crazy times for you, two youngs sons, and then a new job! ih hope you like it a bit. As it is the thing we spend most of the time for more then forty years, it has to be, at least, a bit "joyfull". For myself, I still am very busy with slalom. Now I'm building my own specialist-slalom-vehicle, I just spend a full week on it. Glad my wife does understand me, and let me go :-) . What about Lego, well, I started a new project (two axles are ok), but I'm awaiting colder weather, so not to work on the slalom car, but spending lego time. Much greetings my friend! |

Thanks Marcus, it must be the least technical use of that piece ever, but it fits perfectly. At first I wanted to make this model more funfional but I decided to keep it simple. @ Hi Hrvoje – no need to apologise, but it is always a pleasure to receive a comment from you. Thanks and I look forward to your next moc. |

HA! One never knows what to expect from you, Joe. I love this completely different direction. It's a robot, which is not to far out of your comfort zone, but you've added a bit of humor to it. My first thought is that a kid has a toy robot, and he's having a nightmare that his robot has grown to a monstrous size and is now chasing him. After, of course, this terrifying automaton has stolen his teddy bear, his only source of security. I like that old look to the robot. The wind-up features really add to the look. Especially in the ear positions. The tile work is random, (or might I say, random randomness), and also adds to the look. The addition of dynamite really gave me a chuckle. Great work, sir. |

@ Nick Pascale – Thanks for the detailed comment. You have hit the nail on the head – the teddy bear in his hand really makes this a scary nightmare. @ LB jnr – yeah the photos are dark due to bad lighting conditions, but I am glad you like the moc. @ Lego Obsessionist – thank you so much for the blog, I am honoured by that. @ Hayden – That my friend is a brilliant idea, the inside is hollow and could easily fit the minifig inside, I wish I had thought of that. @ Senator – Thanks mate, I added the dynamite on the back especially for you buddie. @ Chris – Glad you spotted the ‘Z’ on the ‘baddie’ robot’s chest ;). It is from the Zorg (Toy Story 2) set . I am sure it will be available from CrackLink. I will try and find the part number for you from Peeron.com @ Patrick - thanks mate. |

I liked the photography after all we are not professional photographers and do not have expensive studios! Now to the MOC---incredible! It captures a kid's nightmare well! I think the fact the ROBOT is holding the teddy bear makes it a bit scary! I also like the way you made this a place you could use your stenciled flat tile pieces from many sets! I also like the symmetry of the MOC and loved how even though you used the turn key from the collectibles for his "ears" you created a scale turn key for him! When did become a rating place a 5 out of 5 for example? After all we cast out "votes" above this comment box 5 heads and 4 heads get cast or evven 3,2 or 1! |

Hi joe, what a lovely creation this is! I extremely (!) like the yellow key to wind the robot up (does they say that like this in English?). You know, I've been building today! Yes, that has been a while. I tried a gearbox : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=370579 , but it doesn't seem a good solution for a trial truck. I'm sure in wintertimes I will post some new things. Much greeting!!! |

I AM A RO-BOT. Thanks guys so pleased you like it, I wasn’t even going to post it until my kids persuaded me. @ MCLegoboy – Thanks, the tube is attached via two of those pieces I have used to attach the arms (modified 2x2 plate with technic pin). Inside the tube there is a 2 long technic axle to create the shape. I use tubes (and this technique) in most of my mocs. Thanks for the comment everyone :D |
