Creativity: 7/10 Great castle design! Bricks/building techniques: 4/5 There's also some good building techniques on that castle! Visual Elements, brick colors, Photography Skill: 3.5/4 Your camera isn't focusing on some of the important things. Your total score = 14.5. Good work, Matthew! |

Creativity: 6/10; This was a very generic build for the castle theme so not much interest to that. Bricks/Building Techniques: 3/5; While Mark's build was original, you had the cleaner MOC. The only problems I'd have with this MOC are the rockwork and the detail on the castle. The rockwork is too unnatural, it has the same pattern of rock layering over and over again. The castle detail is probably because of the brick texture brick; I think you used too much of it. You should've just put one of those somewhere and another one of those in a different spot so that they're not connected together. Just because you have alot of the brick texture brick, doesn't mean you have to use it! Visual elements, brick colors, and photography skills: 4/4; I have to agree with what Halhi said about this part. On topic: 1/1 Total: 14 |

Creativity: 8/10 The idea of a castle on water is a generic theme, but the weapons were excellent, and the castle has some creative bits.
Bricks/Building Techniques: 3/5 - The castle looks excellent, but the water could be better - try not to use round plates here, as you can see the slight gaps between them. Also, try making the rockwork a bit less plain - it seems too bland.
Visual Elements, brick colors, photography skills: 4/4 - Excellent photos, a nice clean build, great color scheme.

That's a sweet little build. Personally I like the orderly-looking rocks and I think the symmetry of the brickwork pieces suits this creation. Nice work. |

it is very well done, but I do have these criteques: your rockwork is definatly good, but there is room for inprovment. it is sort of a pattern now, but it should be completely spontanious. as in, the caltle needs to be on platforms in some places. also, the castle is a succesfull design, but it is simple. A curve, a ledge, something.... Also, your use of the texture pieces is very nice, but they need to be randomly spread amongst normal bricks to get the right feel. Also, I belive that this is near the ocean, or in a bay, so there should be waves. a cheese serves very well for waves in a bay-harbor. ( I live near one so I know what the waves look like.) also, the axe buket, I feel, is in the wrong place. it should be on top, where it is seen and used the most. After all, why go downstairs to get something to throw at your attackers, when you could have the bucket O' axes right by you? (note. this criteque is chok-full-O' constructive criticism. it is not rude. just helpfull.)
Thanks for the suggestions Micah! |

Nice work, I especially like the tower. While the rockwork is great at the top, I feel that the middle and bottom could use a bit of work. Try mixing the three-high 1x2 slopes with one-high 1x2 slopes and other types of slopes to make it less even. (At least, that's how I like rockwork.) Still, very good job! |

Rock work looks pretty cool, but I think it needs a bit more randomness. (Makes it look more like natural rocks) |
