BSG:The Next Chapter Season3 Episode 2
About this creation
On a war-torn street above a hidden underground facility, the dull sounds of heavy footsteps grow closer.

Searching for the homing signals from their creators, three of the recently activated sentient robots scan the area.

Leaving one of their kind behind to guard the facility below, they quickly plot a course to the enemy compound.

These robots not only understand what's at stake for their creators...

But they also have a desire for revenge!

Bioengineering Compound.
"Okay, Joe, we'll see ya tomorrow..."

"Another thrilling night watch, eh, Sam?"
"What, did you beat the sergeant at Triad again? When are you going to learn?"

"Hey, hear that?"
"Probably just squirrels, relax."

"Big frakin' squirrels!"

"What the?!"

"Behind the gate--Now!"

"Quick! Sound the alarm before they..."

"Akkk!" *crunch*

Sensing the proximity of their creators, the robots focus on the next task.

The sudden crack of gunfire has no impact on their resolve to complete their mission.

Like swatting as many insects, they dispatch the guards without a second thought.

One guard realizes the futility of resistance.

His escape will be unsuccessful.

Deep within the compound.
"What have they done to us?"

"To me?"

"But...?"

"How can we be there AND in here?"

"We're both, don't you get it?"

"Our memories were downloaded, everything to that point was stored."

"Can we save them? I mean us."

"There's nothing we can do for those bodies now."

"This is our future."

"What just happened?!?"

"I am Athena! You may have thought the Gods had forsaken you. We have NOT!"

"But we have nothing to offer?"

"We're not even human anymore!"

"It matters not. Your spirit remains! A new era will begin, and YOU will lead the way to victory!"

"Victory?"

"There are great challenges ahead, you will need guidance. There are dark forces at work, but you will prevail!"

"Now we know what we must do..."

Two hours earlier.
A Starliner transport vessel departs the bioengineering facility.

The chief researcher and military coordinator is finally able to relax now that the breakthrough has been achieved.

"Coffee, Sir?"
"Oh, yes, thank you...That will be all."

After many years of experimentation and failure, he takes pride in the recent success, and being a part of what will come next.

Pilot: "Great view of Gemenon from here, don't you think, Sir?"

"What a sight to see!"

"Indeed it is, Leda, indeed it is..."

To be continued...

Quoting Mike Johnson O.K. it's obvious my last comment never made it so cut it short I'll just say I truly envy your skill in every way possible! If you ever start giving lessons in how to build scenery, sign me up.
I suppose the first thing is to consider lines of sight from the minifig's frame of reference. For example, the first scene with the robots, I didn't need to make an entire building, just a little facade and some junk on the street. Like Blazing Saddles and the fake town they built. Same with all the interior wall components, I simply line them up and jimmy them around so you can't see all the mess in my basement. Thanks for the comment, Mike!

The pics of the temple were difficult with the wind and all, holding the Lego at arm's length and squinting to see the screen. A nasty storm was on the way, and the plate with the other figs even flew off the porch into the shrubs. Anyway, thanks for the encouraging words!

Gee, never thought of it that way...But it sounds good to me! Caprica took WAY to long to get anywhere. That's where they lost a lot of viewers, and maybe only by 3 or 4 episodes. People want action! Like that one, eh? I was kind of partial to the Athena ones. The cloudy background behind the temple are real, just the fig is pasted in there. The trick with the cockpit shot is to simple photograph the two builds right next to each other in the same light, at the same angle. Thanks for the comment!
