majestic, grandiose! curiously, I expected to find a lot of yellow inyour castle 'section' there is none...you keep it exclusively for the pirate girl, by curiosity, and perhaps for challenge, I d like to see you try a balance between both, in a future piece. |

Such an impressive Hall ! Great fireplace and wooden paneling. The scale true to life gives it such a realistic appeal, and your personalised assembly of mini figures completes the picture so nicely !>.....well done |

BEAUTIFUL sense of space in this one, Parrington! So often structural interiors can feel cramped, or out of proportion with the figs, but to me, this one's right on the money! Some nice color placement and textural work in the surroundings, too. All in all, just an excellent MOC. Well done!
Thanks heaps Mark, yes I was worried at one stage too much empty space wouldn't look good but then I thought, it's a big castle hall, there should be space! |

Ah sweet Dragon Lance - the big question do you pronounce Raistlin as in waste bin? I was big on DnD too many moons ago.
Absolutely! Raistlin is exactly pronounced that way, I had so many arguments with people who pronounced the a as in cat. Argghhhh! Duh, Raisin - Raistlin - pretty simple? And sounds way better... |

Sweet dio mate! It was Medieval August on the history channel last month and I've been watching heaps of docos on that era... kinda becoming a little bit obsessed actually... This makes me feel like I've just gone back in time. Its not just the build but the atmosphere. I love the hazy photos. I don't know if you planned it or if the sun was just in the way of the camera but it gives it such a smoky, dusty haze that somehow makes it feel real to me. Love the fireplace too.
:) Exactly what I was going for that haze you mention. It just makes you feel like you are looking at a set rather than a model IMO. You know I always hesitate when shooting this way thinking, what if no-one really likes it? SO glad you do. I have done it previously through out my 'Castle' folder and it's just a trick of the lighting. Cheers Leda. |

Wow, excellent! I really like the floor, it's an unusual color for castle, but it looks awesome.
Cheers Ru, sure is, I just was inspired by the heavy use of red and white the current TLG Castle builds are using in conjunction with wanting to do a big dining hall scene and so went about as such. I cant imagine how long that floor would have taken with little tiles! |

Oh wow, starting the MO with a build in what I think is your area of expertise! I love that fireplace and I spied that throne that we only get a teasingly peek at! Do hope that means that in the near future we may get a better view of it and everything in a Magnificent Tale of Seven! Very best of luck! :)
Thanks ST, it seems this fantasy era alliance is a popular one! I do enjoy ye olde style stuff more than I let on I suppose, I was a fanatical DnD player back in the day and have read like every Dragon Lance novel ever, hahaha... Until the next time... |
