A prototype main battle tank designed more for concepts than actual fighting.
About this creation
Technical Stuff
NAME: M1AS Evictor

TYPE: Concept "Main Battle Tank"

Primary Armament: 120mm Smoothbore Battle Cannon

Secondary Armament: 1x 12.7mm MG
4x "Final Notice" Top-Attack Guided Missiles

Armor: Flintsteel Plate

A conceptual Main Battle Tank, the M1AS "Evictor" is a testbed for developing technologies and methods of armored vehicle construction.

Now that that's out of the way.

So this thing is a test of sorts. I watched Andrew Somers' "Tanking 101" tutorial and I had one of Lego-4-Life's tank sitting around on my hard drive. With some time to kill i made this.

The Evictor's front. Nothing special, just a sloped plate and headlights. And that gun.

The Evictor's side, showing off the "borrowed" suspension from L4L's Abrams, since I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get those darn tracks to stay on. Before you throw the rotten vegetables, I have to add that the hull itself is completely my own, bar a few borrowed techniques here and there.

3/4 Rear shot, showing off the ventilators, engine compartment, and turret rear.

A close-up of the turret roof and all of its greebly thingies. Also showing off that crappy MG I slapped together. Note those four 1x1 round caps next to the turret rear. Those are where the guided missiles sit.

The turret can turn 360 degrees and the gun can elevate and depress. That red light above the gun itself is supposed to be a target-acquisition sensor of some sort like on the Challenger II, which left no room for a Coax MG.

The engine compartment open. You can sorta see an engine in there.

The turret buttoned up. The commander and gunner fit inside the turret basket, while the driver sits in a compartment in front of them.

The gunner's hatch opens up so you can see his helmet. The driver's hatch is kinda blocked up by the turret, so I had to hide some pieces so you can see I'm not lying about the driver fitting in there.

Remember those four 1x1 caps i was talking about earlier? Those are actually tiny top-attack missiles. Either the commander or a friendly infantryman can lase a target that the main gun cannot reach or breach, and the Evictor can fire a top-attack missile at the target. It's handy for engaging emplaced positions and enemy vehicles in urban environments two streets away.

Suspension belongs to Lego-4-Life. Turret Skeleton and Concept belong to Andrew Somers.

Quoting Jack K Very cool tank. Looks like an Abrams mixed with an IFV of some kind. Do you mind if I borrow some techniques? I promise I will give credit if you let me.
Considering half of this tank was "borrowed ideas" from other builders, go for it.
