Wow, cool, the HF parts add a cool "greebly" touch to the design. Great job! :-)) It would be cool if they let you use HF parts this way for an official set... |

Again we not just get an intriguing creation, but also an interesting back story. The front part's layered design is excellent. |

Very nice Matrix-like insectoidic shape combined with stylish colours. They could use it in Hollywood:-) |

Really beautiful, I love the angles you've managed to create with the HF parts. You've inspired me to try something similar! |

Nice starfighter!
Question: How do you take pictures of your fighter? I've got a lightbox, but I've always had trouble taking pictures of my starfighter's underside and other angles. Do you use a stand or something?
Good question. I use the photo studio at work with a diffused flash gun set up - though I sometimes use well lit plain white paper background at home and get very similar results.
I have a clear perspex stand that I balance (or blue-tack) the model on, you can see part of it on the third picture above (where it distorts the light on the back rear engine) I then use photoshop to remove where it is visible in most shots. Clear perspex rods can be bought at many hardware and craft shops, then cut it to length and drill a hole into a clear perspex base for one end and glue a 2x2 plate to the other to attach models to, if you want a jaunty angle for display use a ball joint and socket on the 2x2 plate! (I'll try to remember to take a photo of my stand next time I photograph. |

That "cyclops" head is one of my favorite minifigure parts! I use it all the time to make alien jailbreakers. You put it to good use! Keep on building!

Seamless integration of system and Hero Factory. I often wonder why there isn't an official theme mixing sytem and Bionicle/HF elements (except in some minor detail now and then). |

Incredible! I'm not the biggest fan of HF but these parts you used has turned this creation beyond ordinary. It's so well smoothed out, it's as if it's made with far less parts than it really is. |

That is one aggressive looking fighter. I like the encoporation of some rarely used bicks as well as the unusual shape. The over all effect makes it look functional and very dangerous. |

Really cool. It makes me want to see what I can do with Hero Factory pieces. Except there is one problem with that... I don't have any. Time to go to the LEGO Store and get some MOC Fodder with money I don't have. :D |

Excellent use of Bionical parts. They are so awkward due to their limited connection points, but you have embedded them in a shape that capitalizes on the very trait. I really like how all those odd cup shaped parts seem to crimp down around the canopy. It leads back to that massive thrust nozzle in the real very naturally. I have to admit, most of the projecting components (the weapons and the big lose hoses for example) seem to detract from the compact feeling of the main fuselage. It seems like two design philosophies in the same ship. But that canopy arrangement really carries it through. Attack! |
