I am the walrus.
About this creation
Home sweet home!

The moment I spotted the walrus in the cathegories I felt compelled to use those big airplane pieces. Yeah, I know, that's just how my brain works.

The rest of the MOC came along while building. Must note I found some inspiration with Tintin too.

Turned out pretty well, didn't it?

The back part of the battle sub can articulate left to right to create a swimming pose.

The "hands" of the walrus are the engines that can rotate seperately / simultaneously to steer up or down.

The head can shake as well. There's no purpose for the teeth except maybe a fear factor.

The sub is manned by 4 crewmembers: McPaul, George H, Johny L & Ringo Stirr.

The head is piloted by McPaul.

In the dark belly of the sub we find Ringo, he's got his hands on the torpedo launcher.

In the back, we have H controlling the upper torpedo's.

Harpoons and hooks are a job for Johny L, right there in the tail.

Now let's sink some pesky subs, eh?

Said inspiration found here!

And away she goes!

Thanks for watching everybody and good luck with your judges for anyone who's playing; it's gonna be a blast!

PS: Find the salami!

I claim my cookie for finding the salami! A crab is holding it in the background of the tail shot. That aside, I adore this build Gio. It looks like a superior playset with all the functions but I like the sculpt of the shape too and your own dash of whimsy. Well done good sir, and good luck!

Quoting Michael Rutherford This thing is crazy! A giant walrus shaped death machine... I did not see that coming! It really is a pretty unique construct. I like the use of those aircraft fuselage sections as thruster flukes. The last pic with the fleet of yellow submarines about to get eaten is also a real delight! And all very well photographed. Attack!
Thank you so much, Michael! Taking pics is always a pain for me: proper lighting, space and most of all keeping the kids away ;)! Thanks for the contructive opinion!

Quoting Nick Barrett Fabulous. You're the first person brave enough to pick 'I Am The Walrus' and you've pulled it off with great style. Good luck, not that you'll need it :-)
The first round in this game is basically freedom to do what your best at, isn't it? The more specific rounds are the real challenge! Thanks for the comment and good luck to us all!

Quoting Mando Verd Red Rackham's Treasure. Love that book! What language is that? Mine's English. I hope they use Calculus's Shark sub in the sequel, since they saw fit to leave him and it out of the secret of the unicorn. Awesome creation by the way, sorry I just got distracted by the Tintin book.
Hey, I'm Belgian so my native languages are Dutch & French. The book is a Dutch version, you might want to know that Hergé was Belgian as well? Thanks for the comment!
