Well, dear and honored community, this is the first MOC I post here at MOCpages, so I hope you are going to like it!
This MOC depicts my interpretation of Hafu, if he had been changed into a Toa some time.
I tried to make him more warrior-like (in fact, I wanted him to look like a guerillero) than the average Toa. Because of this, he got a sub-machine gun, a knife and an ammunition belt. The things I am not fond of are his arms (the Telluris arm design is really below average, but I absolutely wanted to use Bitil parts <3. In addition, they were the only suitable yellow parts I had.) and the legs. They are not bendable, as you can see. But longer legs would have messed up the anatomic correctness, and I hate that.
Theme song (guess everybody needs one): Hell ain't a bad place to be; AC/DC
3/4 front view
And the technical data:
Title: Toa of Stone from Toa Vope's Team
Alignment: Toa Army
Tool(s): Sub-machine gun; knife; ammunition belt
Mask: Great Kanohi Pakari, Mask of Strength
Quoting Chronos Omega Taking canon characters as self-MOCs is just a pet peeve of mine. XD
In fact, after intensive meditation xD I found out you were right: Taking official characters as Self-MOCs is boring, in my opinion. You can't bring in all the facets of your personality in an official character with already described personality. I'm gonna work on this...
Thanks to both!
It is really useful when the critiques on a MOC are the same. I already posted this MOC on the unofficial German BIONICLE network, "Der Chronist" (The Chronicler), and the comments about the legs were all negative. So now I know what's to change! ^^
Great! I love when people make Toa following the spirit of the sets, but with their own personal touch! I'm not very happy whit the legs, although proportional, they don't give very much movility to him; also I think the feet would be better on black. But I honestly like him, I'm happy to see a Self-MOC like this, without being a massive amount of parts but with good ideas, like the belts! Welcome here, dear!
Well, I typically don't like when someone claims an official character as their self-MOC (maybe just give him a new name...?). But aside from that, this is a good start, I hope to see more MOCs from you.
