About this creation

So this is my entry to Round 2 of the Lego LOTR Contest . Hope everyone likes it :)

The catagory given to Aidan and myself was Mount Doom. At first I planned to do the scene from the Fellowship with Isildur and Elrond but unfortunately Aidan got there first so I came up with this instead :P

The door to Mount Doom, spewing out hot lava after the destruction of the One Ring.

The lava. I exhausted my collection of fire and then did the same to my shiny orange pieces :P

Frodo and Sam manage to escape onto a large rock, avoiding being consumed by the lava. This is meant to be just after they escape which is why the lava isn't as thick at the bottom of the rock.

Frodo and Sam. As I don't have Sam I was going to do it without the minifigures but I thought that would have been really boring so I managed to throw together a custom version.

And a final shot of the door to Mount Doom.

Well as before I really enjoyed making this MOC and I hope you all liked it.

This is nice, I love the lava. However, the rockwork is very blocky. My vote goes to Moon.

Very cool build! (no pun intended) One question though: where did you get those fire pieces that blow horizontaly?

hmmm, its a cool build, but not overly great. as a judge, I'll give it 6.5/10. the rockwork isn't great, and the lava just isn't enough for the scene in the movie... but good effort!
